Who would you have taken at 28?

It sounds like Dallas had one player on their board with a first round grade at 28. They didn't draft him. I don't know who it was, but that's the guy I'd have selected. My guess is that it was Kevin King, so I'll say him.
They said it was a running back.
Unless you think they were lying....would you have taken a RB.

And btw, a 1st grade meant top 18 on their board.

They had a few left that were top 32

I believe the one player left on the board with a 1st Rd grade was Dalvin Cook.

After watching a few game tapes, I'm glad they didn't draft Watt. Honestly, the guy opposite of Watt in Wisconsin
(Biegel) looked better to me.

I was fine with the Taco pick which was the right pick based on how the draft played out.

I'm sticking with Tyus Bowser, even though he didn't go until pick No. 47 and probably better fits the 3-4.

I never got clear information about Foster's red flags. There was no doubt athletically he was the BPA.
McDowell in so many ways I wanted him and dearly hate he was snapped up by the Skins.
The solid pick IMO was Taco, so Taco.

The player with a first round grade was Cook. I was hoping we'd take McDowell or Taco.

Pleased with the pick. I totally agreed with our justification of not choosing a CB in round one.

My thoughts as well

McDowell is a freakish talent that I would have liked to have seen at 3T here but I understand why they decided to pass on him. His talent says top 5 but the rest of the league obviously agreed with Dallas on his behavioral issues so I can't fault them.

Taco would have been my next choice, for the reasons McClay laid out. The gap between him and the next 43 DE was simply much greater than the abundance of closely rated corners on the board.

Oddly enough, Awuzie would have been in play for me at 28 so I was more than thrilled we nabbed him at 28.

Had Taco rated above Harris, really didn't think Charlton would be there in any pre-draft scenario given, it wasn't realistic.

Thus, you gotta luv this pick and as in 2016, the way the 2017 Cowboys Draft fell to Dallas.
