Brad Nessler

Dick Vermeil

Jaws

They did a MNF game couple years ago. One of the best I've heard.

Yeah, I'd have to concur on that one...Really enjoy hearing Vermeil...Although a tandem of Jaws and Vermeil might be Eagle overload

Irvin would be highly entertaining!

I am afraid Irvin is too argumentative to do play by play...would be interesting though.

Al Micheals, Frank Gifford, and Dan Dierdorf. I grew up watching them. Just doesnt seem right without them.

How tough was your childhood that you want to go back to that? Gifford was terrible imho. He was the very weak link of him Cossell and Meredith. Nostalgia brings us back to that early MNF crew, but that is because of Howard and Dandy Don. If they would have replaced Gifford sooner or kept Keith Jackson no one would miss Gifford. Dierdorf is okay, but would not be one of my top choices.

Maybe they should team Frank Gifford along with Michael Irvin(g) for some comedic value.

Al Michaels, Boomer Esiason and Dick Vermeil would be a good trio.

If they would take Cornhole out of the booth I would not have a problem with Jaws and Trico. Why they feel the need to add a 3rd wheel is beyond me.

Jaws needs a brain implant or needs to stay away from Reids son's.............

No talent putz.

Al and John.

I also like Vern Lundquist, Bob Trumpy and Dick Enberg.

FWIW.............I think Charles Barkley woud be a great color/play by play guy, JMO of course.

Al Michaels rivals ESPN and Berman in the "anti-Cowboy, man-love, for the 49ers and Jerry Rice category."

Collinsworth, Jaws and Simms are my guys, but they're all color commentators so I dont know who you put as the play-by-play man cause I cant stand any of em. Probably Al Michaels.

The consensus seems to be that the current trio is bad. Granted Tony is by far the worst, but they all seem to be lacking. I would be willing to bet if you go back and time how long they talk about the actually game its going to be less than 20 minutes. So, if you were the CEO of ESPN, who would you place in their position...lets say it can be anybody but yourself...

I am going with

Mike Golic and Mike Greenburg

Kind of risky as I have never heard them commentate a game, but both seem very knowledgeable and well spoken.

I hate those two they seem so fake and preprocessed, like they are reading from a script. I avoid those two like the plague and they are such *** kissers to whoever is on their show, I am sure Mike greenburg is really afraid for his life when he is around Mike Ditka.
