Wholesale change needed on the defensive line

Corner is somewhat of a concern, and I'm not sure it should be given what we had on the roster a few days ago. But, I also agree the DL is getting old and hearing about anything that has to do with the Cowboys OL is getting old, so I'd like to see those position's addressed, as well.

I have come to the belief that corner is a problem on every team at all times.

The league has just made the rules impossible to stop the passing game.

I don't know about whole sale changes. I think adding another DL player to the mix would be a good idea but I think Bass, Cohen, Selvie and Wilber are capable of coming in and rotating with starters. It is not as if the entire backup group will be playing together they get put into the mix with the starting unit which looks pretty good.

The obvious difference there is that those two were RBs. Or, as Jerry taught us, you also don't sell your team down the river for a veteran WR. QB, on the other hand, you better get the right guy, but it's worth it if he's a difference maker like RGIII.

If you're going to give up multiple Draft picks for one player in this day and age, then QB is the only position you would do if for (although he'd better be the real deal).

That being said you’d also better be able to have or put together a decent team around him.

Just look at Elway or Manning (Payton that is). Neither got the job done until sufficient parts were in place.

Yep. Much as I hate it, the Sk*ns look like they got 2 legitimate QBs, a RB, and whatever else they ended up with on the OL in that draft last year. That's enough to build a contender around if you use the rest of your salary cap wisely.

TE of course. We need to spend more high draft resources on TE. Duh!

Yep. Much as I hate it, the Sk*ns look like they got 2 legitimate QBs, a RB, and whatever else they ended up with on the OL in that draft last year. That's enough to build a contender around if you use the rest of your salary cap wisely.

As much as I hate to agree (because they are the skins), I have to agree and they managed the cap through a bigger cap penalty then ours. Seems to be shaping up as a dog fight with them for the division.

I kind of love-hate it, myself. The NFL is more fun when both the Sk*ns and Cowboys are good, but I'll feel better about it if we go on to have a really good season ourselves. I'm confident in the direction we're going, but I'd be confident if I were a Sk*ns fan, too. Nothing would suck more than having their team pan out and ours tank. Yuck.

I grew up with the Boys/Skins battles, so certainly remember how it was, but I still must say, I enjoy it much more when they can't get out of their own way. It makes listening to sports talk radio around these parts so much more enjoyable.
