Actually going to a Cowboy game at giant stadium, isn't so bad. I find going to a Cowboy vs jet game, at giant stadium to be much worse. The jet crowd is younger, dumber and drunker, so there are much more fights at a Cowboy vs jet game, than there is at a Cowboy vs giant game, but I still hate the giants more.;)

I went to our game at the Meadowlands this season and their crowd wasn't bad at all. Maybe the upper sections had some drunk idiots but I sat in the lower corner and it was fine. Numerous people in my section were concerned for my health and some of the things I shouted made most of them laugh. They were an easy going bunch.

Never been to a Cowboys/Jets game.

Fellow Yankee fan went to one of the World Series games in Philly last year - wore his Jeter shirt which is the ultimate target. Some guy that followed him through the gate stuck with him through most of the game yelling the F version of homosexual through the 7th inning stretch when a family next to him finally called security.

The Daily Show did a funny spoof on trashy Philly and Yankee fans during the series.

I agree. Anything above the normal trash-talking is just stupid. As much as I hate the Eagles, I wouldn't start fights with them. I did see a fight ALMOST happen at the play-off game here. I just had fun waving my sign in all their faces. Here's a picture of it:

Been there done that, both the Vet and the Linc.. it doesn't matter where you go in Philty, they're all scum of the earth fans..

I have a buddy of mine who is a NJ State trooper, we sit there all decked out in our Cowboy garb, and those punks don't mess with any of us.

Like someone stated , it takes 5 punk philty fans to jump one Cowboy fan..

Wear something water proof for when they throw their beer at you and a hard hat for the idiots that throw the D size batteries at your head.. Good luck with that one..

I own Giant season tickets for just the Dallas game, and those guys at the Meadowlands are good football fans, they cheer for their team, and don't mess much with the fans of the opponents.

There are always exceptions to the rule, but for the most part the G-men fans are cool. !

My first and only trip to see the Cowboys play in Philly was the 1989 Bounty Bowl II/Snowball game. Suffice to say it was everything you can imagine. As luck would have it, our seats were in the last row of the mezzanine area, so we had cover over our heads, which prevented us from being constantly pelted with snowballs. That and the fact that I was chicken/wise enough not to wear any Cowboys gear (the only road game I've ever been to where I didn't). I sort of knew it was going to be a rough one.

Little known fact about that game - not only did the Cowboys get pelted with snowballs - the Eagles own cheerleaders were being hit with snow and ice by Eagles fans, and the cheerleaders were eventually removed from the field.

I also saw a Cowboys fan in the last row of another mezzanine grabbed from behind by an Eagles fan and pulled out of his seat.

And to top it all off, on the way out I saw a guy in a wheelchair knocked aside at the top of an exit ramp so that the drunken Eagles fans wouldn't have to wait to make their way down.

Needless to say, I still take special pleasure when the Cowboys beat the Eagles.

And what was your experience like? I've heard so many stories. I know some of ya'll have braved the Philly crowd. Stories?

I've been to a Saints game in Philly. Does that count? The "Linc" experience is universal no matter who the visiting team is.. Trust me. Those ****ers act like rabid dogs that haven't been fed in days. Don't be the one to come into the parking lot/tailgate kennel looking all cute in your opposing team getup...

I went to a couple of games at the Vet back during the Ryan years... rough crowd and a lot of drunks. Most of what I saw and heard was idle trash talk (with a lot of f-bombs). The worst crowd I ever experienced though was at the '91 playoff game at Soldier Field... I was yelling when we got scrooged out of our timeout at the end of the first half and a pair of dorks threw their beer on my Cowboys sweat shirt, it was soaked. I was MUCH younger then so I just took it off and waited... Late in the third quarter his buddy was bringing 5 or 6 beers (one in his teeth) and I swung the sweatshirt like a club and knocked them all over both of them and one of their girlfriends

I was 6'4" 270 then and even though they said they were gonna kick my rear after the game neither one had the stones to wait for me.

* anyone know if they still have the giant bathtub style urinals sitting in the middle of the restrooms there?

Philly is probably the one and only place i'd never go to watch a game because their stadium is clearly full of a bunch of moronic animals. I see no reason to go to a place where the chances of getting into a fight over the fact that you root for a different team goes up 110% over watching a game in any other venue.

I have been to a few. One eagle fan was obviously drunk even before game started and continued to drink (he was sitting in front of us)...so when he stood up to tried and walk ...we knew nothing good was gonna come from it. He bumped into every person while walking out to aisle and tripped on step and stumbled down about 5 steps before grabbing hold of this older women neck (probably in her 60's) to prevent from falling down to next level.

A friend was at another game where the eagle fans broke ankles of 49ers fan. He said they heard screaming will walking down the ramp and looked back to see about 25 eagle fans chasing this one 49er fan down the ramp...they eventually caught him and broke both of his ankles. Soon after...the stadium built court room in the basement of stadium in which they could prosecute fans for excessive intoxication/fighting and the such.
