Fred did not play well last year.

He was mediocre and got to the pro bowl on the back of nostalgia.

He saw this and realized he's not going to be the same.

Center is not something the Cowboys should expend a draft pick on this season. We have that position covered with Looney and McGovern. Focus the draft on fixing this defense. If the Center is a problem a year from now, then it is when to draft one.

And the previous year, let's take an injury prone tackle and move him to guard, what's the worst that can happen ? (result = 3 knee surgeries in 2 NFL seasons, undersized/powered, and arguably getting outplayed by backups).

At this point if there's a 2nd rounder regardless of position that they think can immediately start and improve the team NOW then do it (aka last year Juan Thornhill would of been a day 1 starter at safety no questions asked).

At this point I think trading our 2nd rounder is the way to go. We might as well use that pick for players that play. Jerry is going to use it to draft another TE or a player that had one good game in High School.

Ive never seen Micki G play in the NFL. I put my money on Looney to hold it down for the entire season.

Yep have to think the McGovern pick was insurance for the interior of the line. If he's not ready, Looney is a very capable starter. Have to keep in mind we're not losing all-pro Frederick he was good, not great last season.
