As long as JJ runs this team the way he wants, we'll never see a SB again.

As long as Tonya Romo QB's this team we'll never see a playoff game again.

IF you ask me tony Romo is our best chance to a SB ring. he's immature now but so was Peyton and Elway and Young and tony has the ability to be just a good and even better then all of them. It's almost like he skipped a few steps such as he has great pockett awareness like amazing pockett awarenss but he lacks good decision making after he evades the rush. He's great at extending the play but he hesitates on pulling the trigger when he knows he should just run for the extra yardage. Tony Romo is going to bring us a championship the only question is when

Man, people are really down on the cowboys. Not me. I see no reason why we can't win 12-14 games next year.

Lose our first playoff game, of course. Thats a given. But I still say we dominate the regular season.

At least we'll have a third place schedule next season. Surely that is what helped teams like Atlanta and Miami do so well this year. We'll see.

true, we play Green Bay and Seattle next year, two very winnable games as our conference games above our division and games against the NFC South.

Does anyone know if we play in Seattle or in Green Bay next year?

Agreed. As likely as seeing a dog walk up a flight of stairs on it's hind legs.

Don't agree here.

Nah. Remember, if not for all the injuries at mid-season, even this disaster of a team would have won 10 or 11 games. However, we'd have gotten blown out of the playoffs.

With all the "talent" on this team, its enough to get 7-10 wins. However, all the distractions and division will cost it from doing anything more than that.

As bad as things are, I don't think there's any way this team goes 5-11 or whatever people are predicting. It will simply be a mediocre team (that could be good) being dragged down by bad coaching and division.

I know some of you will bash me for this but who cares. If you think this group of heartless spineless chumps can pull off more then 8 wins next season (and that's stretching it a bit) you have to take a good hard look at this season. I know I know allot of our guys are coming back but still it means nothing if this team is not on the same page. Next season we are facing I think 5 0r more teams that are sitting pretty in the playoffs this year. We are bringing back the worst coaching staff that I have ever seen and our owner does not give a **** about anything that’s not green with dollar signs on it. I have seen some bad cowboy teams over the yrs but nothing as bad as this. 9-7 isn’t as bad as 5-11 or 3-13 but its horrible considering the fact that you were pick to go all the way. The talent is there. On paper we are the best team in the NFL but unfortunately paper can't play the game for us. I hate the team the cowboys have become but I'm still a fan and I will be in front of the TV every game pissed off and throwing my lucky cowboys hat (that I forgot to bring with me Sunday to my friends house) on the ground while screaming "just run with the damn ball Tony don’t just stand there!!" I really hope I’m wrong about this but I as well as many of you invested allot of time and emotions in this season and I can’t take yet another huge disappointment like we had the past 12 or 13 seasons but the past 2 season hurt more then anything.

I like your optimizm but if we still have an offensive line that does not protect Romo and the TO cancer then it will not be that good.

Look this season is over. We have changes to make and additions and subtractions coming. But noone should think all of a sudden that this is a 5 win ballclub. Talent alone gets us 8 wins. I'll say no worse than 10-6 next year with a 3rd place schedule and a healthy McBriar, Felix and a more stout ILB (Zack just can't do it in the 3-4 guys) to pair with Bradie, and the jettison of some malcontents. We are a Patrick Willis type player and a ballhawk free safety away from being a very very dangerous defensive team, regardless of the O's progression.

Sure I would rather have Peyton Manning (or healthy Tom Brady) but he is not available and never will be.

The facts are our offensive line has been an absolute joke and have not blocked or protected the quarterback since before Aikman left. In fact Aikman had to retire because of all the beatings he was taking. In 92-95 we had a very good O-line and that is why Emmitt, Troy and Irvin had such good years. My opinion has not changed in 10 years. The Cowboys will never win another Super Bowl until they protect the Quarterback who ever that is.
Philthy overpowered our weak offensive line and pressured Tony Romo most every play. Name one quarterback who could do better under that kind of pressure? That is what good teams do, they watch the films, find your weaknesses and exploit them. The O-Line is our weakness and was exploited badly. Face it Philthy ran over our O-line and man handled the Cowboys. They used them for a stepping stone to the playoffs and made the Cowboys feel cheap.
I believe every one of our linemen was beat and Flosmell got his Flosmell Hat Trick, holding penalty, False Start penalty and ran over for the sack.

All season I have quietly watched while we got not only beat but embarrassed by supposedly weaker teams. No, the best team won and it was not us. Until we get an offensive line we will not ever do very good. Fact.

I do not know if Peyton would be any good here with no protection. I think for you all to be piling on Romo is wrong you should be looking at why he does not have any time to set up or protection.
