That doesn't make sense.I could go with this. Fill a need with BPA and pick up an extra, or a few extra picks.

Yes it does. That doesn't make sense.
I know some love Collins but i think Cam Jackson is basically the same player and you can get him way later.
There is 3 down potential in Collins that there really isnt in Jackson. Thats why Collins is a top 60 guy adn Jackson is a day 3 guy. I had us taking Jackson in the 5th in my post combine mock. Another thing with Jackson is that he has had issues with conditioning.Collins has more upside, but also more bust potential. High ceiling low floor type. He could turn out to be the best DT in the draft.
His physical agenda is top scale for a defensive tackle. He adds day one.I want Grant with a trade down or even at 12.
It's called a man learning his full skill level. Did Randy White start out as an All Pro defensive tackle? How about Bob Lilly ... was he an All Pro defensive tackle his first two years also? The scouts disagree w/ you completely.
Since he never quite played up to his massive potential at UT, what makes you say he has no more upside? You thinking he'll be unable to make the adjustments?
Scouts are right sometimes and wrong sometimes. Collins is definitely the more advanced presently, but some guys develop later. Some have better coaching and strength coaches. Some have defenses that are better designed for them. All I am saying is that I wouldn't be surprised if in 3 years Cam Jackson was just as good if not better than Collins -- if he gets the right coaching and he has the heart to make the changes needed. Collins has fewer changes to become a NFL dl, but both have a ways to go, imo.The scouts disagree w/ you completely.

What is so hard to understand that if you go BPA, you're prolly not filling a need? Don't be so obsessed w/ "BPA" that you have to tout it in every draft strategy convo.Yes it does.
They trade down. And get extra picks.
And if Williams is the BPA, they draft him. Which also fills a need.
What is so hard to understand about that?
No, he's not. There is a ton of work to do to get him to be a stud in the NFL. Who is telling you that he's advanced? If he was, he'd be a 1st rounder, and possibly top 10.Scouts are right sometimes and wrong sometimes. Collins is definitely the more advanced presently, but some guys develop later. We’ve already got a good pass rushing 3T…would love to add another young one but I’d consider 1T the big priority considering run defense has been such a big weakness over the years.I am not convinced we need to look for the guy who is the best run stuffer. I think they need inside pass rush as much as they need a run stuffer.
I would have no problem with Darius Alexander, or Omarr Norman-Lott - not in round 1 though.
I still think the Cowboys inability to stop the run is mainly a problem of outside containment. But I see the value in an immovable DT in the middle too.
Grant and Tyliek are my 1a and 1B I would like to get.•kenneth grant, michigan
•both the ohio st kids...tyliek williams and ty hamilton.
•rylie mills, notre dame was really good v the run and generating pressure.

You don't do condescending very well.
