They didn't re-sign Ladouceur and picked up Jake McQuade. McQuade is supposed to be very good, but I'm not sure why they let Ladouceur go. I assume maybe they were worried that at his age (39) he might hang it up anytime.

Probably didn't want him to break the Cowboys record for games played.

Now that you say this I think I remember this was brought up at the time. Seems I recall he was only a few games short of whatever Witten had. Who knows? Maybe a coincidence, maybe not.

MM new strategy based on analytics - no more punts, FG or extra point attempts.

L.P. did lose us a game a few years back (Commanders on the road, down by 3, closing seconds) with a bad snap infraction penalty that set us back 5 yards, and iirc the kick post-penalty hit the upright and doinked out no good and we lost.

You can't grab vested vets. He's a free agent and they likely have an (wink-wink) agreement with him.

yeah, people give Romo too much crap for that episode still. Romo shouldn't have been on special teams after promoted to QB. But, it was a wet January night in Seattle. A chip shot kick and we still might have lost the game because Seattle had timeouts and enough clock and a prime Matt Hasselbeck.
