I know it’s not draft related, but this is the only place on the forum to have a rational discussion about football

I want an innovative offensive mind at HC because I think there are plenty of very good D Coordinators available.

The obvious choice is Ben Johnson, but he’s going to have his choice of whatever job he wants and I don’t think Dallas will be near the top of his list.

My top 2 choices after Johnson are Liam Coen and Wes Phillips.

Get away from the big names and retreads and go find the next great coach.
Don't care who it is just want them younger than 50 years of age.

I want a strong leader of men at hc. Someone who knows football and not just 1 aspect of it. Someone who might have the sack to tell the jones' to stay in their lane. Then 2 qualified coordinators to run the offense and defense of their choosing. Same for special teams.

It'll never happen unless Jerry let's go of control.

Aaron Glenn
Ben Johnson

If I was going college I would back
up the truck for Kirby Smart. That’s a no BS winner there. If I was going off the run college I like Matt Campbell.

I like either Bum Phillips III or Bud Grants great grandson who‘s really turned around Georgetown’s program.

Jimmy Johnson, the only coach who had the gumption to overcome Jerry.

I know that this won't be popular, but I wouldn't be upset with Bones as HC.
Bones still gets unreasonable hate around here...

I do believe he is infectious as a person, but if he was so good at coaching a whole team...I assume he would have reflected on his skills at some point ant rerouted down that path, no?

If there weren't the constraints here (Jerry's meddling, he's cheap when it comes to coaching contracts, etc.) I would say Ben Johnson and it wouldn't be close.

Right now, I'd like to see someone like Brian Flores (defensive guru, tough mindset, culture) as HC and Luke McCown as the OC.

Jon Gruden would be interesting. He's an actual offensive guru (just ask Sean McVay, Kyle Shanahan, etc) and he may have the right temperament to address the culture but also not make Jerry feel "uncomfortable."
Intrigued by Gruden. Vrabel with a good OC I would be good with too.
