I know we have Tony Pollard but is he the replacement should Zeke get injured?
He's got nice RB skills but I don't think anyone regards him as a full time RB.
It Pollard is the guy, who's his backup?

if an when that happens you go find a quality vet hoping to get signed still sitting at home..no need taking up roster spot just in case that happens..

just lie i dont believe if Dak has major season ending injury that one of the guys we currently on the roster will be the starter. They might final that game and start the next but the DC will go get an actual vet starter to finish the season..

BTW Zekes only miss ONE game do to injury in his entire career maybe eve back to college..

the DC arent worried

I worry more about Pollard getting injured than Elliott. I care more about Pollard than Elliott. I am not an Elliott fan, especially after what I saw on the field in Elliott last year. Would like to see true competition for starter at the RB position, not Elliott gifted the position.

Rams just lost their starting RB Akers with a torn Achilles’ a couple days ago. They are already in backup mode. Hey Rams, you want Elliott? I know you don’t have 1st round picks but let’s talk second rounders.

Someone from the current 90 man roster will be re-signed/called up from the practice squad if they aren't already on the 53.

If both Zeke and Pollard get injured then the team can easily get a dime a dozen RB in FA.

Who doesn't regard Pollard as a full time rb? Some people actually wanted him to take over for Zeke last year.

i dont he never started ever not in college and what was hit top carries count in the nfl so far 101? he had 87 to zekes 300 in 2019

now a game or two sure maybe he can handle it but over 10games not sure ..

moot point anyway zekes never really been hurt missing one game in the last what 8 years due to injury? he durable lie ES hes typically available.

hopefully TP get a few more carries a game anyway take little more load off EE id like to see zeke get 5 less carries a game in between the tackles and use him to finish drives in the RZ far more fresh..KM hasn't figured this out and has been terrible integrating the run game into his pass happy defense,,

using EE as battering ram between the 20s running archaic FB type run calls and having him wore out and needing play or two off by the time they get to the RZ and throwing it 10 straight times is not smart football,..

Are you using speech to text or is your grammar and punctuation just this bad?

So you are giving up on elliott based off last year.

Holy moley....if that is your criteria you should give up the Dallas Cowboys.

Right now it would be Pollard. But in his one start last year, he did not fair so well in the running game. If not for that one big run late in the game. He would have had a low YPC average.
I was not impressed.
I do like him in situational plays. Not even sure I like him spotting Zeke on a few series. But don't hate it either. I can live with it, however he too needs a healthy OL. So that is part of him not impressing me. So will give him that to do more this year. I do really like him in the open field though.

Maybe Dowdle impresses in TC to earn some snaps.

I love Pollard, he is more talented Lance Dunbar which this offense has been looking for, for ages. He can do what Tavon could, he can do what beasley can do and has plenty of speed to burn.

Last year was just icing on the cake, so to speak. Parcells got rid of the druggie Quincy Carter in a New York minute. Can’t have addicts and people you can’t trust in important positions. Can’t have a star RB who is a druggie doing stupid crap off the field. He does not have the mental makeup to be a true champion and warrior in my book. Always something with certain players. He is one.

Michael Irvin is not the exception that makes the rule.

I don't. He's too small, and while he has a big play every now and then, he has many poor plays. He is at his best when teams don't expect him to be in the lineup, like Marion Barber I think he'd not do that well as the full time starter...

I'm not saying Elliott isn't beyond his best years, or that the team shouldn't be looking for options, but Elliott and Quincy aren't exactly apples to apples. Quincy never stood out as a player, and Elliott never failed a drug test in the NFL.

To the best of our knowledge, Elliott has not failed a drug test. We actually don’t know if he did.

Only a true idiot would fail an NFL drug test. They have a certain window and publish the dates for testing. I doubt Elliott is being randomly tested. Maybe he is as a result of his suspension. I doubt it though. I doubt he could pass true random testing.

Elliott has always been one of those special rules players - rules for me and rules for them. That is bad for culture and team.
