Dez could not get ANY seperation once he got hurt. Yet the coaching staff and Romo kept looking for him? Heck they even put Dez back there on the final kick return! For What! He COULD NOT RUN!!!!!!!!!!!! Why did you keep Ogletree on the team if you are afraid to use him. Why did you give Miles all this money if you are going to ignore him. I love Dez. But he was clearly not trying to get open because he WAS hurt. Coaches/Romo have to KNOW this and use him as a decoy...not as someone you keep targeting!

Agreed...one would think it's the coaches....everyone else could see it though....

I agree...it was ridiculous that they'd trot a 50% Dez out there. That's something the coaches have to catch from the sidelines

I mostly agree. There is playing hurt and playing adequately. Then there is playing hurt and not being effective. Bryant's injury really effected his level of play.

He shouldn't have been on the field...he's a monster but he couldn't even run from the cramping

They should have just given Ogletree a chance. He seemed to be gaining confidence. He's no Dez, but tonight Dez was no Dez either.

Confidence hell, he caught every ball tossed at him, at least one for a nice first down pickup.

100% Ogletree > 50% any receiver who ever played the game.

You can't trot out a receiver like that. Bryant might have been able to grab a slant, but that's about it.

I know there is alot of whining about Dez being out there when injured, but I dont' see it the same way. With Dez being out there even when he was hurt, he was STILL taking away their best corner. In fact possibly the best corner in the league. The only issue I have is that Romo still tried to get him the ball even after he was obviously not full strenght.

With Reevis tied up on a not 100% dez, the ball should have gone somewhere else. I don't mind Dez being out there if he is making Reevis cover him.

Dude, chill out, they were exhausted from draggin Jenkins off the field 20 times, give the man a break;)

PS. I agree though, stupid mistakes, stupid management.

Honestly, I didn't have a problem with keeping Dez on the field even at the end. They were still using Revis on him, let him decoy Revis out of the play. I'd just know what you have and not really include him in the actual progressions.

Great point. I was thinking of starting a similiar thread.

Who was giving Dez the okay to remain on the field when he was noticably struggling?

I can understand using him as a decoy I suppose, but then to go to him with a play was inane.

I fault JG. This is the same guy who used to have gimpy Barber run sweeps when you had both healthy Choice and Jones available.

Well then Garrett and Romo need to treat him as such. On that play at the goal line when after Witten gets pushed out at the 2. Dez had zero seperation...he ran his route like he WAS a decoy....but Romo rolled out to his side essentially making it a one man route...Dez was not open...so the play was screwed. On the INT...romo again rolled to his right...meaning Dez was the only option...and Dez was not even close to being open. If he is a DECOY...then look for someone else. Why did you keep Ogletree if you will not play him. At some point Dez or Miles could get hurt...so you better trust the guys you decided to keep on the roster.

I can see your point on putting Dez out there for the final kick return. I admit to wondering what they were thinking.

I do not see where you are coming from with saying they ignored Miles Austin. He had a touchdown in the game, and actually more yardage and catches than anyone not named Witten on the field (ok, Tomlinson had more catches...).

I think you're asking the wrong guy. I never said anything about Miles.

Like I said, I had no problem with Dez being out there taking away their best corner. I I said before, I agree with you in that they should not have been throwing to him. You quoted my post, read the whole thing.

Also, I am pretty sure I saw Ogletree out there make a couple of plays. However, I am looking at Jason, Miles, and Jones before I throw it to him. He is the third WR for a reason.

I spoke on Miles..cause it seemed like the Dez Bryant package in the 2nd half. Like Miles was eliminated somehow

My bad, I meant to quote the guy you were quoting. bbailey423 I believe, although I am many beers into this night....

Was Romo targetting Dez or did he just happen to be the receiver on the field he thought he had the best chance of getting the ball to on a given play? Is Dez the new Witten or something?
