Why all the fuss over preseason?

This is the most ignorant post of the year.

So because i complain about the amount of penalties at dumb times and the same crap that they had problems with last year when they went on a losing streak, There is too many penalties they are taking causing them to lose just like last year. And its not as if the 3rd stringers are taking penalties its the first stringers

Nvm its doesn't matter what i say because im not die hard. Im a bandwagon fan

What do you mean most ignorant post of the year? The entire year 2008 calender year? This season? This season only including games? I need to know because I really care!

I am just as dissapointed as the next guy about lossing ANY game. But this is just preseason. Our offensive and defensive game plans couldn't be anymore vanilla.

Now I don't want to compare this team with the Super Bowl teams of the 90's but I remember us not winning very many preseason games during that time.

If we continue to struggle after 2 regular season games then I will worry.

I been more disappointed in how sloppy this team was and the tackling was horrid which I expected the 1st game but I expected a quantum leap in game 2 nope we lacked any intensity from the team and the tackling was still subpar. The penalties rared there ugly head yet again.

The W or a L in preseason is no big deal I think the same issues have appeared again from last year which just magnifies the fear of some people.

Special teams concerns; tackling issues; allowing 80% pass completion even in basic defense; stupid penalties and bad tackling

I keeping an even keel I am just worried about how sharp this team is going to be come opening season

Davis was called because Romo had already released the ball and there was no need to bury Strahan. I agree there were some questionable calls but there were some out right stupid penalties that hurt the Cowboys of their own making.

And Davis is somehow supposed to know that when he is behind the QB. It was more like simultaneous anyway.

It's football! It may have looked bad but there was nothing wrong with that play.

It's just like the Redeem Team this year. They had 5 games that didn't count leading up to the Olympics and won each one convincingly. Everyone would have gone crazy if they had lost one of those games. As fans, we just want to see the Cowboys do well--whether that is pertaining to a practice scrimmage between the offense/defense, a meaningless preseason game against the Texans, or a regular season game.

Most guys do not mean to draw a 15 yarder face mask but it happens and it is still a foul. No one ever says well he did not mean to do that it was just an accident so no foul!!! Yes there was something wrong with the play it was a legit penalty regardless if he knew Romo threw the ball or not. You don't get off the hook because you did not relize the ball had already been released.

Again it was simultaneous at best.

I guess we just saw the play different. Dallas made too mistake and it cost us. I'm not going to sit here and blame the refs for our own screw ups.

If it would have been DWare getting hit do you think anyone here would question the flag?

None. I know refs miss calls they are not perfect but not one person in my house even question the call because it was obvious to us why the call was made.
