This roster is better than all of those

You are just saying this because of what transpired on Sunday
What transpired Sunday is we got outplayed. This roster is probably more well rounded than those teams outisde of 2007 and 2009, but we dont really have a real area of strong. At least nothing like 2014 and 2016 when we could beat teams simply with how strong our OL was. This is a 9-7 roster that looks better because of opposition

Man, how far has this franchise fallen that fans are pining for the days of Tony Romo?
Romo was just another Dak, a late round "success story" that became stupidly overpaid and always choked in the big moment.
Team needs to find a QB that can deliver when it matters.
Because Romo’s career was wasted here with the red-headed stepchild.

Go ask 32 NFL GMs if they’d take a prime Dak over a prime Romo. I’ll bet 31 would say Romo including guys like BB. The only one that wouldn’t would be the 2016 Dallas Clownboys.

Romo had his chances too. 2007 we shouldn’t have lost to the Giants. and we did.

same crap just recycled
He shouldve beat the eventual SB champs and do something that Brett Favre or Tom Brady couldnt do?

He was in his 2nd year as starter. May I remind you of 2017 Dak?

Danny White, Tony Romo, Dak Prescott (so far). All the same QB to me with different traits in some areas, same results.

Dak doesn’t have the turnover issues Danny White and Romo had. Dak is a much better leader than both. Danny White had by far the better teams which is why he got to three straight NFC title games. The Cowboys team he took over in 1980 was only two years removed from winning a Super Bowl. Many of the core players like Drew Pearson, Tony Dorsett and Randy White were under 30. Tony Hill was only in his early to mid-20s. Dak and Romo only wish they had the teams Danny White had.

Can we at least wax nostalgic about Aikman? Our least elite QB, champion and hall of famer.

What I wouldn’t give to have a prime Aikman playing for us right now.

Because they can turn Romo into a championship player if they put him in the ideal hypothetical situation and Romo doesn’t actually have to perform.

Whether you want to admit it or not- later in his career, Romo was able to dissect at the line of scrimmage what the defense was and get the team in the right play call, punishing the defense.

I guarantee, a high percentage of these Branch Romo-dians also think he was better than Aikman. "But muh gawd...Romer's never had a great team, man! He literally broke is back carrying everyone!"

Dude was a chubber that thought he had arrived and was smarter than anyone else before he even bacame the starter. If he had took care of himself in the offseason and also tried to atleast lead anyone outside of a few TEs/WRs, he could've made a bigger impact. Instead, he beat out Roethlisberger for the "what would it look like if you filled a football uniform with 240lbs of hotdog paste" award years ago...and Roethlisberger was actually trying.

You knew Romo was gonna break your heart but at least he gave the illusion he might make a playoff run. Current QB doesnt even do that.
