We just won by 10 points on the road against a team fighting for its playoff life, a team that had won its past two games by double-digit margins.

With the win, we pulled within one win of making the playoffs -- and we could get in tomorrow without even playing -- and we pulled another game closer to clinching the NFC East title.

I'd say you're focusing too much on the negatives. This is a day to forget style points and enjoy a big victory.

No Kidding bro.

Atl played a hell of a game and Vick can be hard to deal with when he is on his game. I'll take this win with a big smile on my face!
:)

28 pts against?

TO Spitting?

NO game still in my mind?

Tony Romo with some nutty passes?

The defense getting torched....by Mike Karney part2!!! :bang2: ?

Parcells pouting?

No pass rush?

No Blitz?

Julius softer than melted butter?

Could it be any or all of these reasons? OR am I looking to much at the negatives?

Maybe you just like to complain... me. I'll take a late season win over a playoff contender in their stadium all day, every day...

Unlike you, I just don't care that much about style points... I'll take 9-5 at this point, with 2 home games left, one of them against one the league's worst teams...

We have weaknesses, and we have strengths... of course, you couldn't give us a comprehensive list of the things we do well, could you??

If I'd read this post before contributing my thoughts, I wouldn't have to have post anything at all-- Adam said it for me (and better than I did, d*mn him)...

Guys, we should enjoy this win. It was a shootout and Dallas won. We are never, or very rarely, going to see perfection. This is a young team on the rise.

Yes.

Would it be better if we played poorly at times tonight and LOST?? I will take the win. At this time of year especially.

Yea, but TO is sorry... and he means it.

Why am I not enjoying this win?

You feel bad because in a sense our season ended tonight. More specifically, our championship aspirations ended. Tonight proved that last Sunday night was no aberration. Our playoff journey will be a short one, ala 2003, although I do see them winning that first game at home. Considering this is Year 4 for Big Bill, we rightfully had bigger dreams than that. Our offense, while good, isn't strong enough to bail out the D week after week, and they're not gonna hang 38 road points on a playoff team next January.

Yeah that's mature.

What it lacks in maturity, it compensates for with accuracy... if you insist on being negative on a Cowboys board in the wake of a fairly big win for the team, you really should expect Cowboys fans to react negatively to it...

That is my problem. We have no pass rush

4 sacks against the most elusive quarterback in NFL history (at least, he set an NFL record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a season, and is about to go over 1000 yards rushing)...

Yeah, our pass rush just sucked, didn't it?? :D

This is a puke post.
What kind of weak arse stuff is this meat?

Right. We proved that we don't have the offense to outscore any team, and we proved that despite playing pretty poorly for half the game the defense can't step up and stop an offense when it counts.

Don't hurt 'em, Hammer... :D

Seriously, this place can be more of a downer than Nembutal sometimes; when I left the house to come to work tonight, the Boys were down 28-24, and I thought they were in deep doo-doo... when I got to work and logged on the NFL.com, they were up 38-28, and Tony was doing the kneel down thing...

I was beyond happy... then I come in here... well, screw the gloom and doomers, I'm not gonna let 'em bring me down...

The next murder won't be the first time a person has been killed.

But that doesn't make any subsequent murder beyond the first any less heinous.

Be that as it may, yes, I'll revel in the win.

But the goal is to get to the Super Bowl and win. And this pass defense scares me.

It really does.

Ah yes, the mighty Atlanta Falcons. The same team that didn't score its first offensive points against the lowly Bucs till three minutes remained in the third quarter. They had no such problem tonight.

We held Atlants to 7 points in 2nd half.

:)

They also hauled out a whole bag full of trick plays... Vick at halfback, don't recall seeing that one before...

We were facing a semi-desperate team that opened their game up all the way, and we took 'em down... that's the bottom line...

I have not read any responses to your thread...

HEY...enjoy the WIN...

Relax....
