That's why I probably haven't watched 15 minutes of preview talk on TV the last two weeks.

I haven't watched 15 seconds, choc. Seriously.

I agree that the two preceding weeks are more interesting. I don't think the extra week off helps either.

I feel the same as you T-RO, but I will watch it. Football is the only sport I watch or follow anymore, so after this game, that is it for me watching any live games for about 7 months. I just hope it is a good, close entertaining game tomorrow.

I'll watch it too, jgboys. Hey laugh at me but I'm getting fired up about the Texas Rangers.

Yeah me too... blah!

I like both QB's not their teams.

We beat Colts a few years back - they win SB
We beat Giants - they win SB
We shoulda beat Stealers - they win SB
We beat Saints - they may just win the SB

WHEN!!!?? is it OUR!!! Time!!!???? ****** :D

That's prob. the truth at it's dead-level gutter level, YoMick.
The Super Bowl has been like watching somebody else marry your best girlfriend. :bang2:

I'm so pissed right now (American version, not the English one), that I feel like breaking something. The best solution (perhaps the ONLY solution) is to drink another twelve beers and get cozy with the English version so the world will spin right again and balance me out.

Seriously, I absolutely hated this freakin' week and I've been hating it for the last thirteen years now. There's no reason (NONE!!!) as to why the Cowboys aren't in the Big Show this Sunday. It feels almost exactly like the end of the 2007 season for me. Ya know, the one where we had huge expectations for this team only to be left holding the empty Lombardi-less bag? I ran out of paper towels just trying to wipe that stupid egg off my face.

I tell ya...it's freakin' killing me! :bang2: :banghead: :bang2:

I very much dislike the Saints and their bandwagon fans.

Maybe it's because I live in SE La but their 'bandwagon fans' didn't start going on the bandwagon until the last several weeks when the local media started going overboard to get the fans reved up. I didn't start seeing the local media start covering the fan frenzy until the last week and a half. I would have thought that the fans that haven't ever seen their team go to the SB and finally got to take off their Ain't sacks would have had their butts in gear after our Boys drummed them in their house. I actually heard some Saint fans say before the Minny game that Minny would probably win. It made me think they're programmed to loose where the Boys fans and team have been programmed to win. They're making up for their lull now though!!!

Also have little interest in the Super Bowl. Could be because Indianapolis is such a blase city, and New Orleans is a litter box of a town. I'd sell it back to the French if they'd make an offer.

I like Manning, so I guess I am for the Colts, and am afraid of the saccharine New Orleans story if they win.

I'm right there with you. Don't really care for any other sports so it's a long sports drought for me till preseason. I will definitely watch tomorrow, but I haven't watched any of the stuff leading up to the game.

I'd like to see the Colts win just cause I like Peyton Manning but without a dog in the hunt it's hard to really care.

This has absoultely been the worst week ever for the super bowl. One storyline (Freeney's ankle.) The colts are like robots they give generic answers and say nothing. The saints haven't been much better. Nobody wants to say anthing to give the opposition any bulletin board material.

Saints fans are dominating this town. when im driving on 95 i see saints flags everywhere, on south beach all you see are saints jersey's. For all the talk about the saints fans not showing because of katrina they're hear in full force and will make this a saints home game. Hopefully the game will be good, because their is zero hype or juice to this game. The NFL could sure use a team like dallas in this week.

Maybe it's because I don't love or hate either team, either coach or any of the players involved.

Maybe it's because I feel like New Orleans peaked 6 weeks too early. Maybe I feel the Vikings and an old Favre would have made a better storyline and provided better competiion...

Maybe it's the manner in which the Cowboys and so many other teams bowed out of the playoffs so meekly, without an entertaining fight.

But I just can't get myself into a vibe. I don't care too much about the game tomorrow. Can anyone sort it out for me?
The only Bowls I actually get excited over are our own, so I'm with you there. I haven't watched any of the pre-game hype because I really don't care for either team, personally. I'm indifferent about the outcome but I expect to see a high scoring game so I'll watch it.

Agreed, I only watch football nothing else so the offseason is a long one. But I luve in Iowa so it means warmer weather is coming so thats a plus.

As for winning I really could care less but I think the Colts will take this.

I'm always this way about the game. The real highlight of the football year (besides our best wins) is conference championship weekend. Or, the week before when it's down to the final eight and there are four great games, two on each weekend day.

But the Superbowl itself is more about the hoopla and the parties and the celebrity of it all than the sport or the game. That's why I probably haven't watched 15 minutes of preview talk on TV the last two weeks.

This is me 100% as well. It just does not do it for me this year.

I don't think it's just the absence of the Cowboys.

What fun or dynamic personalities are there in this game? Neither team has an exhilarating playmaker outside of Reggie Bush. There is no history--and thus no hatred between the teams. So you lack a rivalry of a Cowboys-Steelers. Neither team features anybody engaging in interesting trash-talk.

The predictable story-line about Katrina and the city rising from the ashes with help from heroic NFL players? That has become an old and tired story (whether wrong or right).

New Orleans was outplayed in the NFC championship and pretty much backed their way in, with help from bountiful Viking turnovers. Indy, meanwhile, is methodical but doesn't have the playmakers of recent Colt teams.

Hopefully in this case the game and play will be memorable. The storylines aren't.

The Super Bowl has lately been a big buildup to an otherwise boring game

Have you watched the last 2 Super Bowls?

Just saw Chris Bosh of the Toronto Raptors on a post game interview
he was asked who do you like in the super bowl and he said "jokingly"
I like the cowboys... then didn't pick anyone
You could feel the disappointment in him and lack of excitement
for this one just like some of us here
