Why are people convince Romo will be rusty?

He is already throwing the ball, and he will be returning for 2 weeks before game day. Hes also ran this offense for years. I remember people saying Hardy would be rusty. 3 sacks in 2 games. Think he is doing pretty good.

Because he hasn’t practiced and needs to get the timing with receivers down. Specially on the option plays where the QB and WR need to be in sync.

For what it is worth the first game back 2013 when Rodgers came back from the same injury he threw 2 TDs and 2 INTs vs the Bears in a win.

Those numbers are a bit uncharacteristic for Rodgers. Then again they still won.

It's probably has no bearing on Romo, but I don't think it's out of the question a QB with a broken bone and out for 8 weeks comes back a bit rusty.

I'm more worried about the toll of a road game down in Miami followed almost right away by the Thursday game vs Carolina.
That just looks like a tough way to immediately return from 8 weeks off.

I don't think he's throwing yet unless I missed that. He will probably be throwing in 2 weeks when he's eligible to return from practice and I bet he will be throwing a lot after practiceas well to get back in that rythm. I doubt he's really rusty, just that he probably won't be in peak form for a couple of games.

The same reason posters are floating around saying "why do people think we are going to lose next week" Because we do. Players who miss time on the field lose a bit.

I don't think he'll be rusty.

I just don't think it's fair to expect 6-0 coming off of an injury.

He's the last guy I worry about being Rusty... Not even a thought. Why would there be a worry? Romo has played with Witten and Dez and Twill and Beasley for years. You're not just gonna be out of sync like that. He's been watching film and knows the playbook inside and out. They'll be in sync

We aren't going undefeated when he gets back. That's about what we are going to have to do if we don't win 2 of our next 3 games.

Why not? We're probably undefeated now with him, and almost asuredly with Dez too (yes, even NE).
