Why are RKG Defensive Players Always Hurt?

Great description, we need some thugs, bad boys, whatever stereotype that needs to be associated, but mean on and off the field :) You also need a few squares like Aikman to keep the crew focused.

As long as he can get on the field for the games and help this team win, I don't care if the player likes to slap around the elderly in his free time.

Haloti Ngata, Patrick Peterson, Cameron Wake, JJ Watt, Navarro Bowman, Luke Kuechley, and other current defensive Pro Bowlers say " this thread is silly".

FWIW, Broaddus tweeted that McClay will put an end to drafting injured players and players coming off injuries in college. BTW has any of these type players who were coming off injury worked out for us?

I want convicts on this defense. I am sick and tired of teddy bear players. I would rather take players with rhap sheets over those with an injury history.

Teams were afraid to trash talk the 90s Cowboys because they could find a horse's head in their bed if they did. Our players today are softies.

How does the assistant director of player personnel put a stop to anything in a war room?

It is not just about "nasty defense".

Playing defense is a lot different from playing offense. Confidence means even more because the deck is stacked against you.

We just lack players with edge. DeMarcus Ware is an incredible player, but he does not exactly instill fear in anyone other than the fear of his abilities. He is not going to kill your QB. Sean Lee is a heck of a player, but he is not going to take your head off.

I also see a lot of thinking and doubt on the defense. Jones thought making it "simple" with the Tampa 2 would help, but it clearly did not.

I do not even think Ryan's system was that hard. He just had players who bought in. I do not think our defenders are capable of buying in to much of anything as they really just do not get the idea they are valued.

Just look at how the offense behaves. Throw, throw, throw. We have to score because we do not trust them.

And it is not just something that started this season.

The one time in the past 17 years we trusted the defense, we made the playoffs and won a wildcard game.

Even back in the glory days of the 1990s, there was a physical nature to the team. We ran the ball, and we played very tough defense with quite a few players who were rough around the edges.

Ever notice the players who go to bat for Garrett are usually on offense?

Sean Lee and DeMarcus Ware both are on record saying that they love Garrett and would run through walls for them.

All I know is we have Tank Johnson and Pacman Jones to thank for this RKG era we as fans are forced to suffer through

Let me know when a lowly paid defender starts towing the company line.

I thought Jerry was the final say?

You know, I have followed this team since it's beginning, and today, I have no friggen clue who is who anymore.

Jerry does have the final say.

Even though some people like to pretend he is nothing but a "figurehead".

He runs it all. It all goes through him ultimately. He is not just a "title".

He does not bother himself with the minutiae but he makes the final call.

Well, whoever is giving him that "minutiae" to chose from needs fired!

You know, blindzebra...I have always supported Garrett since he became the HC, however, this past season I have lost respect for the man. Actually, I lost respect for him since the Bears game.

For one - when he came to the podium he looked like he knew he screwed up. There was no "how's it going, guys?"

Number two - when he said that Romo changed the play. As a HC you never call out the QB in public whether Romo did or did not change the play.

Number three - When he said that during the eagle game that Callahan was calling the plays. He did not hold himself accountable like he preaches to his players. Those three things that he did this season by deflecting the HC's responsibilities to blame his troops rather than him taking the heat, he lost my respect.

I would never work for a man like that.
