Why are the Cowboys leaving a roster spot open?

Heh heh, I didn't know cancer was contagious. Now I can't go around my uncle anymore out of fear of me catching it.

And us T.O. lovers are the stupid ones.

BINGO. they are finally seeing the light.

T.O will be fine here and he will behave ...problem is T.O and Key? can they co-exist??
If TO and Key cant get along, why would you want to bring in TO. We know what we are getting from Key. We have no idea what we will get from TO, and hopefully we will never find out. Why ruin a great situation now for the sake of stroking TOs ego. Imagine how much better we'd all feel if TO was forced from football altogether. (not by collusion, but because no one wants to put up with his whiney *** attitude anymore). That would be the perfect X-mas gift.

I think that anybody who thinks there's a living, breathing human being out there who can "keep TO in line" is a living, breathing IDIOT...

It can't be done, and that has been proven over and over and over and over and over and over and over again... the guy has no respect for anybody or anything-- including himself...

I totally agree SB...we have a ton of really gullable, naive people in this forum apparently...

TO has talent, but is the ULTIMATE loser...he doesnt make any team better because of the damage he causes internally...people just arnt using their noggins when thinking this through:

1) major team cancer...
2) he's old, just turning 32
3) we already have 4 good WR's, where's TO going to play?

While I agree with you for the most part on TO, I do disagree with where would he play. He is better than any receiver on the Cowboys roster right now.

Having said that, I still wouldn't want him.

he is better, but Parcells isnt going to bench Key or Glenn for TO...and he loves Crayton, who will be back in a week or so...

I think Irvin can really keep him in line if he came to Dallas. I know Irvin is supposed to be objective now that he's with the media, but c'mon, who are we kidding? You know Irvin would definitely do his best to keep T.O. walking the straight and narrow.
T.O. is a grown man. IMO, the only man that can keep T.O. in line is T.O. And I don't think he has the mental stability to do it.

Preachin to the choir here SB. But some people are just blind.

I know it's not everybody, Erik... still, it's downright depressing, how many Cowboys fans are willing to ***** our team out to that piece of garbage...

I love the Dallas Cowboys, and if they sign that worthless jagoff, it will hurt me badly...

I acknowledge that he has rare talent... I still don't want anything to do with him...

And those morons who are screaming to bring him in now will be the first ones screaming in outrage when (not if) he shows us his true nature...

Think so? I think if BP had a player of TO's caliber on the bench, he'd use him. If it'd help him win a game, he'd bench anyone.

This isn't Peerless Price we are talking about.

I'm with you Silver Bear. I won't quit rooting for my Boys, but I watch football with my 8 year old son. There's no way I can tell him that TO belongs in the uniform.

Have we really come that far from the image of Tom Landry? I had trouble with the Deon Sanders signing. I didn't hate him, but I certainly didn't respect him. But he's really tried to head in another direction.

But TO? He stands for disrespect and arrogance in my book.

Hopefully this is all just coincidence and the roster spot might be waiting on Ryan's workout or availability.

Has to do with injuries and bringing guys up from the PS.

What if you bring Ryan up on Tuesday and you have a CB blow out a wheel on Wedsnesday?

Then if you want to bring back down to PS you have to release him and hope he clears waivers before you sign a CB.

What? I simple explanation not involving a TO conspiracy?

Dude, this board is no place for logic or reason.

I think they are just looking at which TE on our PS to activate for 2-morrow or whether they think they will need another position activated instead.

Also, they maybe looking at another TE off somebody elses's PS that's out there and they are looking at reports on the player. Even still, there are several players that BP rotates in and out of the Game Day active squad..so that might really be the answer.

There isn't enough time in the week to just get it all done like a normal week.

And there maybe some advantage to not announcing who will be brought in to fill the spot. Maybe BP is playing a chess match somehow with not wanting to tip his hand about where he thinks the team is thin (what positions).

Denver is a good team.

The less information they have to prepare the better it is for Dallas.

What is the deadline , if any, to announce who is going to be active, 30 minutes before kickoff..?

So many time we hear 'it's a game day decision' out of BP..but I don't have a clue when that decision really has to be made known.

Anybody really know..?

Not really -- Ryan will be the guy - BP knows and so does Shanny -- Making the move at the last minute give us the opportunity to go another direction if say Shanle can't go and another LB come down with a sprained ankle. If that happened we'd need a spot for an LB instead.

And if Denver is spending time worrying about whether its going to be Ryan or someone else, they need their heads examined.

This part is not relevant. Guys on your PS are available to sign with any team in the league. It is like they are on waivers 24-7.

Guys I can't believe you still don't see why T.O is coming to Dallas. It was part of his plan all along. I mean 49'ers and Eagles our top 2 rivals other than the Commanders, he wanted to sabotage their teams before coming to Dallas so they would not a chance to beat us again in a long time. It worked we beat the 49'ers and we swept the Eagles. WOW was his plan perfect and you gotta give him tons of credit for thinking of it. (end sarcasm)

We should be happy what he did to those two teams and i'm a little surprised people hate him so much considering the 2 teams he did his damage on, 2 of our hated rivals.:D I'm glad he did what he did and you should be too.

Now on him coming to Dallas if we get him great and if we don't great. If he acts up here we can release him because he is not gonna get a long term contract from anybody so we would probably give him a 2 or 3 year deal with a bunch of incentives. Also if he acts up here nobody will ever sign him again and T.O knows that. That would be his 3rd strike and he's out.
