1. are they that sure zeke will sign? so they dont want to waste resources?
2. are there so many rbs available that they can always get a decent one? but why not get a better one
3. are they that confident of weber/chunn/jackson/morris? really?
4. are they trying not to antagonize zeke even more? but it should be negotiation leverage and a wake up call?
5. are teams demanding a 2nd round pick?

Because one of the flaws of this front office is that they often overrate what they have on their roster.

I have little doubt they believe even if Zeke holds out into the season, they are fine with what they have.

we need a 2nd tier rb.
pollard could well be that but he is not proven.
at a minimum, need a backup so may as well get a proven one.

hopefully we get to find out whether dak deserves 35M
i sure hope he does
what would u do if dak shows he is worth it - go away?

The last thing I want to see is us trade for a RB to sit the bench when Zeke signs.
I'd rather go get a reliable OL or some help elsewhere if we are in the mood to trade away our future draft picks.

Any back we could trade for would be at a similar level to the backups we already have.

sounds like u just want zeke and his agent to have more leverage.

1 - Zeke is already signed, he has two years left on his deal
2 - Dallas spent capital during the draft for two running backs
3 - how many backs do you think they're going to carry(Pollard, Morris,Chunn)
4 - Zeke has no leverage and if Dallas starts out 3-0 and Pollard is a stud, Zeke will be crawling back to Dallas
5 - what running back out there available for trade is better than we have on the roster now....

Who are you going to trade for? How much are you willing to spend?

if zeke does not show, ideally pollard and a 2nd tier rb from trade.
morris looked spent last time he was here, and chunn is not proven at all.

Nah...I dont care about that stuff.

Sounds to me like I don't panic and realize trading away your future when you have the best RB in the game entering his 4th season who you extended a big offer to isnt in the best interest of the team.

Wait I thought RB's don't matter. So now they do? Then pay the one you have.

Or you could sign Jay Ajayi right now for cheap and not waste a draft pick.

The reason they haven't brought anyone in is because they simply think what they have is good. It's just that simple.

Ify we sign proven RB you have to trade Zeke. I still believe the FO thinks Zeke will end his holdout in the near Future even without a new. contract.

If he doesnt then it will get interessting.

what was said was a top tier wr1 and a 2nd tier rb > a cheaper wr1 and a top tier rb
so the team needs to insure it has a 2nd tier rb available for enough snaps.
pollard may be very good but the backups look horrible.

I like chunn a lot. Dont think he looked terrible so far. In fact i have him making the roster over weber as the 3rd RB.
