Agreed. Blowing this team up when it has a legitimate franchise QB would be senseless. As long as Romo is the QB there is a good chance they can make a run as long as Jerry fixes the line and provides Romo with more weapons.

Alas, the downside is the defense may have to make do with a new scheme and a legendary DC.

I guess to a degree. In this day and age, however, given the transient nature of the league, I think teams retool every year if they have a quality QB. Teams like KC should blow things up but not the Cowboys.

Now it's different definition of bad....is that 5-11 or worse? There has been a fair amount of that and close to that.

Fact is the past 17 years is nowhere as good as 1966-1985 and 1991-1996. If not for the years Bill Parcells coached and brought some talent here, the Cowboys might never have made the playoffs this century at all.

Sure. I could be overvaluing these players. But I would think the majority of NFL people and fans, would think the players I mentioned are talented. Some of these players do have injury concerns, some are close to being on the downside of their careers, if they are not there already, and some have not played up to their potential. Another thing about projecting the talent of these players that I haven't seen mentioned, but is very important, is the chemistry. How good is the chemistry of this Cowboy's team?

Given that this team rolls over and plays dead in every important game? The chemistry can't be that good.

Because we have a QB that is good enough to win a championship with THE RIGHT players around him. We also have solid, young talent on this roster. Young players like Claiborne, Lee, Carter, Murray, Smith & Bryant. Strong veterans like Romo, Ware, Witten, Austin, Spencer, Carr & Ratliff.

The key is filling in the holes, mainly OL, safety and some depth at LB and RB.

The key is the OL. If we dont address at least 2 starting spots along the OL, this season will be over before it gets started. We need to hit a homerun in the draft.

Even more than that were missing.

Not even including the fact that we were missing both starting WRs late in the 4th qtr of that last game--Dez and Miles (even Harris too) were all hurt.

Your agenda is to dump Romo. I understand that. It's you right to feel that way.
We could have gotten rid of 52 of the 53 and you would still want that.
