Why are we letting the defense off the hook?

YES they played good, it's like someone flicked a switch and said, it's time for the offense to be dominant we're taking a break until next game!

Was it asking too much for the defense to continue to do well against the 49ers? Their first drive after halftime it was evident they made adjustments, and the defense that played well all first half stayed in the same game plan.

So we're putting a lot of blame on the offense, let's give like 2% to the defense!!

When you hold a team to 19 points when it averages over 30 points, your defense is not the problem. Your offense should be able to deliver a victory to you under those conditions.

It’s not a defensive league. The league is built for offense.

On the road against Shannahan vs those weapons on short rest they played great.

Blaming them is absolutely silly and they shouldn’t have to pitch shutouts.

They can't stop the run, but everyone knows that already and it will hopefully be addressed in the off-season. But they honestly played well all things considered. The offense can't do nothing and expect the defense to just hold on indefinitely.

2 interceptions led to 2 field goals

1 missed extra point

Dallas lost by exactly those 7 points.

Defense was fantastic; best game they’ve had in a decade. If you hold a division round opponent to under 20 points even though you allowed multiple scoring drives off turnovers… you’re supposed to win that game 10 times out of 10.

After taking a closer, 2nd look at the all 22, I've realized that I was wrong about the defense.
It's not the best defense in the NFL, but plenty good enough considering contributions.

Maybe the question is.....What could the Defense have done better? Purdy did get some passes in, across the middle. Of course Kittles didn't get neutalized like you'd want. SF did have safe effective runs that moved chains in the second half. Just questions, not a blame on the defense......just, what could have been done better or more?

They held one of the most explosive offenses in football to 19 points.

Just stop it.
