Why aren't we targeting our star players in big moments?

It's been a thing since Dak got the gig, and subsequently ended Dez Bryant's career. While I appreciate the conservative, risk management approach at times, I can't help but wonder if there's an underlying relationship between that conservative, "take what the defense gives you" approach, and the perceived failures in big moments. Tough to make a big time play when you aren't utilizing highly paid big-time playmakers.

We only have one stud playmaker in CeeDee. Someone else needs to step up. 49ers have Kittle and CMC. Philly has Brown and Smith. If the Jamyr Gibbs seen the last game is real, Lions have St. Brown and Gibbs. Who is our solid second option?

We don’t have a John Taylor to Jerry Rice and there lies the problem within. This hasn’t worked out since trading a receiver.

I think the Cowboys offense works best when they spread the ball around. Cee Dee had a great game, but give Dak time to scan the field and let him throw to the open guys. Obviously they have had success feeding CeeDee but they need to get Cooks involved more, and maybe Tolbert.

I would prefer to target whoever is open. Like Cooks was in the end zone. Like Ferg was on 4th down. It happens every game.
you hater, you try to qb Dallas when you have the shakes and everybody is covered and you don't have anyone blocking and nobody knows how to run a route, or the OC doesn't know how to coordinate, and the defense doesn't know how to defend.. sheesh. rookies.

The key 3 words in this post is “give Dak time” and with Steele that is not going to happen.

I know we shouldn't force it, but when you need a big play, you need your playmakers the guy you say is your stud to get the ball! This seems to be an issue around here for some reason. Maybe those guys should act like divas on the sidelines, who knows
This would be a great question to Ask Dak on the sidelines...
