Why ask Dak or Kellen?

Today I'm hearing and reading constant discussion about whether yesterday was about Dak or Kellen Moore.

Who cares? Either, or, or both is perfectly fine, especially since a big ole check is about to be written. The cast is set for the future, so no need to overthink it now.

Yesterday demonstrated three important things for the offense.

1. Pace - the offense was moving quickly in and out of the huddle, and the tempo was very good to see.

2. Motion - tons of motion, misdirection, play action, and combinations. Tough to gameplan for that offense.

3. Comfort - Everyone looked at ease, especially Dak. Everyone looked in sync. The cadence was good.

Now, the Giants' defense is absolutely awful, and it's only week 1. But it certainly beats the alternative, and with two more cupcakes on the schedule next, this team could prime itself nicely for the meat of the schedule.

The defense, on the other hand, has some work to do.

Period.

it is the oc's job to call the plays and put his players in a position to succeed. it is the player's job to execute the plays that are called. credit/kudos to both.

Good post.

The reason some are asking Dak or Kellen is because they just don’t want to say the QB had a great game. Because of arguments they have had on the board in the past. Simple as that.

Goofballs man. That stuff is so 90s.

I don't think it's that so much. It's one stinking game, so it doesn't really mean much of anything. An extended period of this type of success (and I don't mean 35 points all the time) is the only thing that will tell. What it looks like against New Orleans, Philly, New England, Minnesota.....that's the key.

It's just way too much analysis on the QB/OC to try and "pick a winner" here. Who even cares, so long as it's working? Let it play out.

I was delighted at the amount of pre-snap motion I saw. I also liked that we (apparently) no longer predictably run the ball every first down.

Cobb, Gallup, and Cooper are studs. Solid work from the FO getting those guys on the field after what we saw unfold early last season.

I loved the misdirection. They'd lean the line one way and play action to make the MLB lean a certain way, then they'd throw back over the middle to the slot or tight end. They had lots of stuff like that mixed in. The Giants stubbornly never came out of their focus on Zeke, and they paid for it dearly.

Dak NEVER likes to throw down the middle. Granted, they were wide open, but he threw it. That was important to see.
