I am a bit late to the party here, I'll admit...I wasn't able to watch the second half of the LAR game until late yesterday and I needed to do further digging to confirm my POV. My indisputable conclusions and logic are as follows:

1) He's undeniably the secret love child of Jason Garrett (shown here in his younger days as our backup QB)...apologies that I wasn't able to find comparison photos of similar sizes; however, I defy anyone to deny the truth you see with your own two eyes!?! Coop is a "RKG" because he IS Garrett's own version of Jon Snow! Don't believe me? Look at their sideline interactions and the affectionate glances Red gives Coop that only a proud father can give his son.

2) Coop starred at a non-bigtime university from a relatively obscure midwestern football conference (MAC) and now is looking great early on as an undrafted 3rd string QB...sound familiar? Yup - you guessed it...he IS the second coming of Tony Romo (Eastern Illinois from Ohio Valley Conference). We all saw how tore up Jerry was upon the "premature" completion of Tony's career here...now we know that Jerry has found THE way to move on from that trauma and avoid PTSD: find himself another Romo! Jerry looks at that number 7 on Coop's jersey and sees it morph into a number 9 right before his eyes every drop back completion!

FACTS!!! :hammer::hammer::hammer:

:lmao:
1. if we release cooper, we may lose him because someone could sign him if he continues to play well.
2. if we release moore, we will probably not lose him because no one will likely sign him. be a QB coach and available if needed.

Rush just needs to keep focused and produce when he get his chances. I would like to see the Cowboys give him some early game reps vs #2. I think if we see that at some point in pre season and Rush does well he could find his way up to the backup spot. Only way to truly test a young QB is with stout opposition

I'm rooting for Cooper because Kellen Moore can out-dumbface Eli Manning.

The main reason Cooper makes the team is that Jerry wants to show the Eagles he didn't have to trade away a starting linebacker, cornerback, and 5 draft picks to get his red-headed QB. As a UDFA, Jerry got him for free.

For an UFA to look as good as he has is nothing short of remarkable! If he doesn't make the team he is getting swooped up in a Ny minute in a QB starved league. He may not ever do anything, but he has tons of potential already.

Imagine this folks, we have Dak, and a young stud backup with trade potential in the future?? On the cheap at that!!! What a concept!!!
