The post was pretty negative while everyone is still drunk with a big win high. Maybe should have held it until Tues or Wed.
I think everyone has been pretty coherent, not "drunk with a big win high".

Maybe you should hold it forever (not Tues, Wed, etc) and speak for yourself...

What's it going to be then, eh?

He had a very poor performance yesterday. Utterly dreadful.

But he normally is very sharp, so I will allow it.

So out of say 70 offensive snaps you mention 3 or 4 bad plays???..I think Brady may have had about 6 or 7 tackles, the Giants had some ggod plays yesterday, but they did'nt run wild on us yesterday like they did in the first game. That is a direct result of the ILB's play. Maybe you need to pay attention to the little things also.

I do pay attention to the little things and I agree with much of the complaints about James. He's clearly not been playing very well. He's not to the point where I'd scream about replacing him, but he really needs to step up his game and not get caught up in the wash on every play.

I'm not even complaining about the play when Jacobs ran right over him, that happens to every defender occasionally. It's the little things that he's not doing that I'm complaining about.

It was the first Giants game where Bradies dropped one right in his hands just before halftime.

He also dropped one in this game that hit him right in the bread basket, but he was going low to try and cover up Tiki who'd slipped, so I think the pass surprised him a little.

wow, Mr. Negative, where do you get that Bradie doesn't make plays? last time i checked he is the leader on our Defense and is leading in tackles.

Dude what game were you watching I guess you missed Bradie missing a Sack on Eli which gave them the Touchd0wn, and I guess you missed his failed attempt to intercept a good catchable ball, and I guess you missed the running backs just passing by James in slow motion...Pay attention to the little things in the game and you will understand football

unfortunatly i wasn't able to, i dont have a regular 9-5 job mon-fri, i work sun-sun and the hrs vary, the benefit of being a grocery manager

and i know more about football than you think bud

Why did James get the money? Because the organization feels he is a good young LB who they would like to keep for a good while.

ok, thanks to ghst187, we have ONE DE who was a sack machine in a 3-4 defense.

Just because you personally don't know enough about football to be able to recall one does not mean there has never been one.. for what it's worth though, McGinest is not a 3-4 DE, he is a 3-4 LB... and it seems like you should know that, for as much you claim to know about the 3-4 defense.

did Bradie James get all that money? He makes no plays it seems.

And why doesn't BP ask M. Spears to lose about 15 lbs so he can actually run all the way to the QB, instead of not even attempting to ever turn the corner on the RT. I mean it seemed he would have a step, then just stop and stand in front of the RT. In the base defense if Ware doesnt apply pressure, no one will.

And why is someone telling Julius Jones is not okay to bounce something to the outside. It looks like he's making a conscious effort to just run inside all the time. I miss the JJ who would start inside then bounce to the outside and use his speed.

I'll ignore that comment about Bradie James, everyone has a bad game, ask Urlacker about last week when Tom Brady made him look bad...

Now on to Marcus Spears, he's been a mild dissapointment because he doesn't make the spectacular play, just like Canty.

Julius Jones isn't running like the 04' back I seen destroy defenses, I'll agree he's running into holes that are simply not there, he needs to use more of his God given instincts...

I agree that James, Spears, and Jones didn't play well but on the flip side I think Akin is the best inside LB on the team...These last few weeks his play has been outstanding.....

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

James has turned into a hell of a middle LB. And your analysis of Spears is spot OFF. Why do you think teams have such a hard time running on us? A DE in the 3-4 is NOT like a DE in the 4-3. They are really tackles.

Wow, lots of name-calling in here and I need to keep "my kids" off the internet.

First off. Bradie James has not made a "big play" in a while. He does though make some bad plays (trucked by Jacobs, dropped INT, missed tackles, missed sacks). He is NOT living up to his contract. Hopefully next week I'll say a few times, "niiice play Bradie". It's been a while.

Second. Although I don't want JJ bouncing EVERYTHING outside (like most people THINK I'm saying) he is not making anything happen. His vision does need to improve. And it would be great to have him start running up the gut and cut at some point for some more yards. Looks like he's running straight into a pile each play.

Third. I realize Spears' position will never generate a bunch of sacks. But a pressure here or there would be great. He's there for the run, but he should give a bit more effort in getting to the QB as well. I just don't see it. Maybe never will, but I saw him play plenty of times at LSU and he was more of a pressure player there than what he's been showing. Teams won't run the ball every play.

James was missing tackles yesterday. Some of them were costly down the stretch.
I agree with Jones running he has zero vision!

Marcus does not compare well to Mario. Mario has better strength AND speed.

Interesting comments.

Going from memory, this is probably the worst I have seen Roy, Bradie and Marcus Spears play.

I saw Spears get pancaked serveral times and some of that resulted in big runs on his side.

Bradie and Roy both struggled and took a multitude of bad angles and missed tackles. Heck, Newman had to bail them out 2 or 3 times.

Bradie also dropped what I thought was a catchable interceptions. Tiki Barber fell and Eli threw the ball right into his hands as he was diving for it and he dropped it. I forget what game, but he also let another ball go right through his hands.

- Mike G.
You do realize that our defense held the Giants to 13 points in 58 minutes of play right? The defense did their job out there. With our team, if we get a performance like that every Sunday, our offense should be taking care of the rest. The Giants arent scrubs
