i do not under stand why it took so long.

it have been obvious from a long, long time ago that he is not a "franchise" qb in the sens that he does not elevate any one. wich is what you HAVE to have a franchise qb do when you give them a big % of the salary cap.

dak have NEVER, EVER, EVER elevate the team around him. he have been a passenger from day 1 and he never evolve past it. he is dependent on every one else to make him look good that is a FACT and u can not deny that any more

i have been saying it for YEARS because it was so obvius i bet if u look back now u can see it also.

look at caleb williams

look at jaden daniel

they ELEVATE

this is not a thing in the same sens but the aura around the bears and commander is different u can feel it that is what a franchise qb does

dak is not a franchise qb he never have been and he never will be but i just do not get why only a couple people could saw it before this year

Many saw this years ago. He can be a really good QB at times, even for a string of games. But, he still has the same problems as a rookie….he has poor footwork and accuracy issues when the pocket collapses. Unfortunately, the nature of the QB position calls for them to be paid if they show any kind of competency. Dak will never be the reason if Dallas gets to a Super Bowl.

Jerry was in a good position at training camp having him on a prove it type of season but we all know how that ended. Who cares if he walked afterwards? I don’t.

Dak is the type of QB that needs a top defense to lead the way while he just drives the bus, kind of like Flacco. Yet, that concept is foreign in Dallas and not a top priority. Relevance is all Jerry needs and Dak delivers that.

We are stuck with him for a few more seasons, so no use crying over spilled milk, it is what it is.

Now, my plan would be to draft his replacement whenever Manning comes out……hopefully in 3-4 years and do whatever it takes to move up to get him. That is my ALL-IN scenario.

I take it after yesterday that there's nobody, other that Daks publicists, who believe he is good enough. The very lengthy Dak experiment is well and truely over. Time to start working on the most cap friendly way to unwind his dumb contract.

Daks got paid (again). His priorities are building his new home, his new family and being a wannabe celeb. He wont be paid again, so why would he bother putting effort into playing football.

Why all the Dak blaming? Jerry is ultimately to blame. He gave an average QB a ridiculous contract. If I were Dak I would have taken the money as well. If someone is going to give me elite money for being mediocre then why not take it?

Jerry is the one constant that sticks out like a sore thumb. He will continue to drive this franchise into the ground and the fans will continue to give him their money. I stopped supporting this team monetarily a while ago. I just wish everyone else would follow suit.

Pretty sure if you are the starting QB for a team for 10+ years that is the definition of a Franchise QB.

I've been saying this since 2016 and repeatedly bashed for it- to the point my threads are monitored and have to await moderators approval before they can be seen.
The reason is all of the family, friends and employees of Dak and his agent who join every site such as this and push out propaganda to gullible fans.
The NFL is big money now, and not everything is as it seems. You might think you are posting with friends, but you are posting with paid employees a great deal of the time who know that hyping a player means money in their pockets.
That's why they post stats, lie, and do whatever else is necessary to keep their supported player seem as if he is the only real answer.

When jerry looks at dak and elliot, he still sees the 2016 version of those 2 guys !
He cant see what they are now.

Do you really think if jerry had not signed dak, he would have found a better QB in draft or FA??
even jerry knows he cant do that.

Sadly, a lot of non-franchise QBs get paid almost as much. You must have smart GMs willing to try something outside the box and cheaper like Baker Mayfield or Kirk Cousins who probably provide the same results with $20 million more to spend. Or teams with the nads to admit they blew it with the first round pick like Fields or our own Trey Lance, and in some cases a guy like Goff who isn’t horrible, just not what they needed to win the Super Bowl. We will never have GMs like that until the team stops being a family business.
