Why did it take so long for people to understand dak is not a franchise qb

Not sure anyone is "blaming" dak for anything except he can't score touchdowns, he doesn't play defense so you can't blame him for all the points the Lions scored but you can blame him for throwing interceptions in the endzone and his inability to score points.
What do you expect Dak to do? He's got no weapons. CeeDee was constantly double teamed (including that INT in the endzone) while no one else was getting open. That's not including Dak being under constant pressure all game long. It's super easy for any good defensive coached team to defend and shut down this only 1 WR weaponized Offense when there is no other legit WR besides CeeDee to worry about and account for. Add in a poor Oline that still struggles to run/pass block or get any running game going. Well, there you have it. Too easy for opposing playoff proven opponents.

I’m betting your posts and threads are monitored because of weird conspiracy posts like above. You’re the Dale Gribble of this board
Yea he claims the NFL is fake like the WWE ...... he is even more deranged than the Dak fans.

The whole team is a disaster and that includes Dak
Give Dak more than 1 legit WR weapon, a good run/pass blocking Oline and some semblance of a running game, he will tear up most opposing defenses. It's not hard to understand that.

Dak has had many drop the mic moments and most admit his limitations. None of it matters though, he's signed up for multiple years after this and Jerry isn't capable of fixing the core of the team anyway.

i do not under stand why it took so long.

it have been obvious from a long, long time ago that he is not a "franchise" qb in the sens that he does not elevate any one. wich is what you HAVE to have a franchise qb do when you give them a big % of the salary cap.

dak have NEVER, EVER, EVER elevate the team around him. he have been a passenger from day 1 and he never evolve past it. he is dependent on every one else to make him look good that is a FACT and u can not deny that any more

i have been saying it for YEARS because it was so obvius i bet if u look back now u can see it also.

look at caleb williams

look at jaden daniel

they ELEVATE

this is not a thing in the same sens but the aura around the bears and commander is different u can feel it that is what a franchise qb does

dak is not a franchise qb he never have been and he never will be but i just do not get why only a couple people could saw it before this year
You mean Jerry Jones?
He still doesn't get it.
That's why his GM skills are in question.
Loves his own guys no matter how much he has to over pay them.

Group 1: There are 4 franchise QBs in the NFL. Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, Burrow

Group 2: There are around15 guys that are different levels of competent. including Dak

Group 3: Then there are 10-12 teams that have no shot because they have no QB.

The Cowboys and other teams in group 2 are terrified of being in group 3. It's not that hard to understand why guys like Dak get paid.

The discussion isn't whether Dak is a franchise QB. The discussion is whether you want to risk being irrelevant by moving on from a competent QB like Dak.

He hasn't been since he came back from injury and lost the ability/courage to run the ball. He's had a handful of REALLY good games since then against really good teams. And that's it. And Jerry just made him the highest paid player in the NFL.
Which really good games against really good teams?

Sadly, a lot of non-franchise QBs get paid almost as much. You must have smart GMs willing to try something outside the box and cheaper like Baker Mayfield or Kirk Cousins who probably provide the same results with $20 million more to spend. Or teams with the nads to admit they blew it with the first round pick like Fields or our own Trey Lance, and in some cases a guy like Goff who isn’t horrible, just not what they needed to win the Super Bowl. We will never have GMs like that until the team stops being a family business.
Ding, ding,ding!!!!!
You sir are the winner!
We will never win anything meaningful with Jerry as GM.
He simply does not have the ability.
28 years with no trip outside the divisional round is proof.

They are all gambles that you simply have to take. But you have to turn over quicker than 10-12 YEARS.

What? Have you not watched him through out his career? The cat is a 4th round bum, point blank.

lol 'franchise QB' - whatever that means.
He has been ranked as a top 10-12 QB by experts for a few years now. Whether that's good enough or not depends on the team around the QB.
So why pay do much money....the most ever...if it's the "team around the QB"? Shouldn't you shut off the qb and pay the team?

Not all daks fault for suckering an old man with dementia.

I guess a “Franchise QB” to me is someone you can build around and win a SB. A guy that you can consistently count on to make a play when you need it. QBs who elevate those around them would fall into an “Elite” category for me, which would be nested inside the category of “Franchise QB”. Iow, an “Elite QB” is a type of “Franchise QB” and not all “Franchise QBs” are “Elite QBs”. The problem with the NFL is that anyone deemed a “Franchise QB” based on my definition is getting paid like they are an “Elite QB” and it’s making roster building significantly more difficult. That’s what we have with Dak.
