Why did the announcer for Fox keep calling Austin Hurd?

If you have the ability, the ticket in HD on 99.5-2 fm is great. Way better than the am signal.
True, but is there such a thing as a portable HD radio? I like to listen to the game on the radio while at the game and sadly, The Tickets signal was horrible at Texas Stadium. So far this season I have had few issues getting a signal at Cowboys Stadium, but I just hate the commentary laid out by The Fan.

Not sure, i dont think there is right now. I listened to the games on the bone the last couple of years.

the fan has a tremendous signal, they just have nothing on air worth listening to.

they have one of the biggest jerks in the area on air in mike rodriguez, he loves the eagles is a philly guy and that is all he talks about. I hope we win this week so that guy has to keep talking about it for awhile.

What's crazy is that The Ticket as too much talent right now, their weekend shows are just as good as their shows during the week.

By the way, I guess there is a portable HD radio out there. I may have to go get one of these:

he also got really excited by our punt coverage on one play.
I thought I was the only one who noticed that! He went NUTS! "Ohhh!! wow!!! what coverage!! ohh!!! my!!!"... meanwhile a touchdown is a mere "And... a touchdown. Extra point pending."

that guy Thom from last week was unbearable as well,,, listening to the Sunday Night crew next week will be a frickin joy compared to these last two games,,, :)

I thought the announcers were good today. Charles Davis made some nice solid points about the actual play and strategy on the field.

As for Dick Stockton, give him a break on the names. The man is 150 years old.

Because Dick Stockton is hands down the worst announcer going right now. And by worst I mean most inaccurate and most likely to butcher everything imaginable.
:hammer:

Been that way for 25+ years now.

I was just annoyed at how he was saying Olindo Mare and Siavii.

Other than saying Dick Stockton sucks, people are being too coy.

How about because they were idiots?

Yea I honestly was too busy watching the game to notice any name F ups. But I thought Charles Davis was solid. That's my first time hearing him call a game. He wasn't too bad. He was actually solid I thought.

Dick Stockton also pronounced Corsicana (Tx) as Cor-see-anna.....He sucks, I understand he isn't from Tx but you should know how to pronounce player names and their hometown or be quiet about it.

I used to like Stockton on the NBA games back in the 1980s, but that Austin/Hurd confusion was bothersome. I guess it is because Hurd was actually doing something in the game and so was Austin.

I've always liked Charles Davis. I actually think his insights and commentary are some of the best in the game.
