It makes sense. A lot of those safeties are going to be playing linebacker and some of those corners may be safeties. The issue with corner though is Gilmore is not a long term solution so you can't cut a young corner in favor of him.

Unlikely Gilmore plays all 17 games, when exactly will Lewis be able to play, Scott showed enough to develop but don’t want him out there this season.
Bell is basically another Safety they’re hybridizing! They’re keeping what they feel is there best 53… not holding on to a lesser player to fill some arbitrary # at a position!

Hell, I'm still confused about the Kelvin Joseph trade as I have no issue trading him but to get back a 1-year CB rental who was a 1st round bust? That made no sense but then again it's JJ.
