Ask the other 15 that passed.

I get a kick out of Mayock saying he had 5 career sacks. Then in the next sentence says he's a guy who'll get you 10 or 11 sacks his rookie year.

Because they didn't like him as much as you do.

We DID NOT need a DT esp. one that has 4.5 sacks in 4 years, he a NT in the 3-4 and we play a 4-3 not a good fit in our D, plain and simple... People need tostop reading the books of sports writers and watch the game and see what player do on the field..

In time, this will be another,of a long line of draft mistakes by unqualified gm Jones.Especially when Ratliff is standing on the sidelines watching everybody else play.

Maybe, but I think the Frederick pick has JG influence alllll over it.

Thank you for a real answer and not some one liner jab to show us all how hipster you are. Bravo!

What are you worried about. Jerry has just confirmed that D-line is a "position of strength" LOL Rat is washed up. Hatcher is out of position, Lissimore and Crawford are the poster children for just guys, we were run all over last year, we have no backups to our D-ends, but we are good to go!

I can live with the Fredrick pick. I just hate when we take guys a round or 2 before we need to. If they still get another G or Tackle, a DT and Safety, I can live with whatever order they get them And I don't mean just anyone at these spots. I mean guys from this list.

O-line
Larry Warford
Menelik Watson
Dallas Thomas
Oday Aboushi
David Quessenberry
Terron Armstead
Alvin Bailey

DT
Jon Hankins
John Jenkins
Jesse Williams
Kawann Short
Bennie Logan
Akeem Spence
Brandon Williams
Kwame Geathers
Jordan Hill

S
Jonathan Cyprien
Phillip Thomas
JJ Wilcox
Shawn Williams

I think Safety is the biggest need. We can fill OT with Clabo or Winston and get a guy later to develop. Would like a DE over DT.

It sounds like they were looking for OL and they thought they could get the only guy on their board left at 31, so they traded down.

They didn't think he was a good fit. If they were going inside DL, they wanted a quick twitch 3-tech.

Polian said he is the "ideal, prototype" 3-tech, and he certainly knows that scheme. Strange.

Well, he put together a string of some of the worst defenses in the league for more than a decade.

I always thought he was overrated as a Top 10 pick, mostly driven by Mayock's endless hype. He's strickly a 4-3 three tech, but he hardly made any plays for a position that's supposed to be a playmaker. I would have pulled the trigger on him at 18 for the sake of value. Maybe you could put some more good weight on him and make him a 1, like they did with Booger McFarland.

Agreed. Search his body of work and Floyd underwhelms. I for one am glad the Cowboys did not bite. If anything, Cowboys should have traded up for Lotulelei who was oh so close and a player the Cowboys were very high on.
