Why do fans say "focus on this upcoming game only" when we aren't players or coaches?

Exactly. I’m a fan I have the Luxury. I’m positive the franchise doesn’t. It’s ridiculous not to think I can be looking what’s coming Thanksgiving. I plan my day around it
