Why do so many people hate on Romo?

Im going through all these message boards, general NFL and team sites, and most a good 80% feel like he is overrated, and isnt that good.:bang2:

2. He has had a very short career as a starter
3. He's a Cowboy
4. He didn't have a very good December and playoff game last season.

6. They're jealous of his past relationship with Carrie Underwood
7. He's a Cowboy

What do you seriously expect? They should bow and scrape to a guy who has 10 career starts? A guy who has one of the most famous post season blunders of all time?

reality has nothing to do with it. People arent just doubting him, they are hating on him. Big difference

It's actually very hard to hate Romo - he's a good guy and overall a great story.

I think people would just like to see more out of him, because as we all know, there have been many QBs to have one good season that later turned out to be average QBs.

8. He is not only a Cowboy... but other teams fear that we may have found our franchise QB.... and that doesnt bode well for them. So, for now they have to rip him while they can. If he leads us to SB's their ripping will be limited or atleast unrealistic. If we are back, then we are back and winning SB's..... you know that the haters will HATE that. HAHA!

River and Leinart aren't a Cowboy that is why they aren't being as hated as Romo, but who cares?

All Romo have to do is have a good season and that will shut most of the haters, except the Cowboys haters.

You have the guys on non-Cowboys sites who hate the Cowboys and will hate on our QB no matter who it is. They will use the stretch fade from last year to demonstrate that Romo is not all that.

You have the guys who were on Henson's bandwagon during the great Hensonite/Romosexual debates. Some of them will NEVER like Romo because he beat out their Fair Haired Boy.

You have the guys who will forever believe that an Undrafted Free Agent can NEVER be a franchise QB.

You have guys who resent him because didn't come from a big time college program.

There are all kinds a prejudices (and I DO NOT mean Racial) against Romo and what he represents. He challenges many of their long held beliefs about drafting QB's and the importance of bigtime college programs.

Edit: There are those who will hate on Romo simply because Nors predicted big things for him

Well this can go both ways...

Phillip Rivers had almost an identical year as Romo last year.

Does Rivers get the same love and attention from the media as Romo? I'd say no.
The Jury is still out on Rivers too.

I don't see too many members of the media hating on Romo. But you might feel some hate, if you were to goto a Skins, Birds, or Giants message board - that should be expected, though.
