time to let it go that was bit ago season over, I wished he would have made that hit on kittles of got that INT but

weve seen worse plays by players in the playoffs just in losses alone ie Patrick Crayton, Jackie smith, Romo hold on the FG, Murrays fumble, Bailys missing 2 kicks, whomever gave up the catch to Dwight Clark and those are off the top of my head..

we are talking why would fan want to get rid of Diggs and im putting up his career not one play..
Im not even mad he dropped an INT that happens, he CHOSE not to hit Kittle, sorry to me thats just never going to be ok.

The dilemma is if you are going to achieve anything in the playoffs you have a few guys who can play at an all pro level. You have 2 guys on the defensive side who fit that desription. Are you really going to let one go? You already have a highly paid cap sucking underachiever at the most important position on the field (QB) so you have to hope your defense can carry you. I dislike his attitude as much as the next guy, but it's a very tough decision.

no he chose to make halfhearted effort out his head down and missed. not like he didn't attempt it, it was just weak attempt BTW maybe hes not trying to get targeting penalty etc lots of things could be running into his mind with those big hits ie defenseless receiver penalty's if he lit him up. who truly knows, none of us do.. look as if he was trying to hit the ball ie graze it and not come to hard.

Ramsey all-day. Better CB. Maybe he doesn't have the ints because maybe just maybe they aren't throwing at him?
UNTRUE not at those terms sorry its close sure Ramsey slightly better cover guy but no way its NOT A hands down deal not for draft pick and new deal at his age, nope i disagree 100%

no maybes facts are facts stats dont like ones bit better cover guy ones far better ball hawk.

and you could see this in regular game footage, or only in all 22 ?
I know some were upset he missed kittle on that one play, but that can happen.
No, you could see it in regular game footage. I noticed it and wasn't even looking for it.

Here's the problem I have with Diggs, and I'm not even calling for trading him. But it wouldn't bother me if we did. I don't mind if a player does this to get a point across. We've seen it before. Players can no longer hold out without severe penalties, so they resort to other tactics. Usually social media, sometimes on the field. The problem I have is Diggs chose to do it in playoff games. In other words, I'm not giving up my body until I get an extension. If that's not what he's doing, it's worse. It means he doesn't want to make tackles. I've seen him make tackles before, so I don't believe that to be the case. But it's pretty bad to show your discontent in a playoff game. He purposely played to not get hurt in the last few games.

that is kind odd though. Why those 2 games?
Dan Quinn has a concept where he wants certain players to stay on their feet and act as the "last line of defense".
- OK for that player to give up a few extra yards but to priority is to avoid the big play with the ball carrier getting past that defender.
- The concept is that other player should make the tackle and if not the last line of defense player makes the "safe" tackle.

Traditionally that is the FS, but Quinn does it with other players.

Early in the season it was Vander Esch but then after the Packers game he gave Vander Esch the go ahead to play agressivly against the run.
- It is the reason many at CZ were hating on Vander Esch early and then the majory started to praise him later in the season.
- Without in change in the scheme, how would Vander Esch go from "terrible" to "really good" with no other change.
- It was not as-if Vander Esch was injured early and healthy later. More likely he was the most healthy early in the season.
- Quinn made other changes to offset that change.

Late in the season he had Diggs playing that style.

It does help to watch the all-22 to really get a feel for what Dan Quinn is trying to accomplish.

Because fans are reactionary and are prisoners of the moment. And some think teams can be built like they are playing Madden.

Dak loses in the playoffs? Cut him and lets go get the next Joe Burrow in the draft. Easy! Diggs misses a tackle? Trade him and lets go get Jalen Ramsey! Easy! Micah Parsons didn't have a sack the past two weeks? He's done. Cut him and lets go get Joey Bosa! Easy!!

Trading Diggs is just a dumb idea. But there are many here that are good at bringing to light dumb ideas. ;) I'm just saying.

Me it's all about the rumored ramsey talks. I'd rather have Ramsey and you can't pay both. Again this is contingent on the trade happening. If not Diggs isn't going anywhere. Hell even if they trade for Ramsey, Diggs could still be extended. And then the nfl doesn't even attempt to throw on Dallas and run the ball whole game.

The thing I don't like about Diggs is the whole tackling thing. That just started this past season. So you have to wonder what it was. And I really think he was making business choices for his coming contract and not wanting to get hurt. Because if you remember in 2021 he was getting hurt alot throwing his body around making those tackles.
ok , one thing I did see was his hand was hurt in last few games, not sure what is was, but he was clearly in pain, so that
might have had something to do with it at end of season and PO games.

This past yr he had like 3 or 4 dropped ints. Where in 2021 anything in arms length was getting intercepted

Is it because he didnt get int''s like he did previous year?
Or is it because of some missed tackles?
Isnt he still a good cover guy?
I don't want to trade him, but Parsons and Ceedee are going to need new contracts soon too. You can't pay top market deals to everyone.

I think Diggs is an excellent corner, but some of the tackle efforts last year were awful. I'm worried he gets paid and mails it in.

I don't think Diggs needs to be traded, but I don't think anyone on the roster is untradeable except Parsons for the right price.

Haven't been on here for a bit and thought maybe it was just me watching Diggs, clearly avoid contact. I'm sure if he's the only one in the vicinity he attempts, but he's not actively sticking his head in there.

I'm not itching to trade him but I would definitely listen... In the salary cap era you can't have $15M players all over your roster. You have to decide on your team identity. You can't have QB, WR, RB, 5 OLINE, TE, DE, DT, CB... all be all pros. Do you want CB's or pass rushers, is often the choice. In the past I was a huge cover CB fan, but I don't think Diggs is a huge cover corner. He's more of a turnover corner and I'd spend that extra $10M on pass rush.

Diggs isn't Deion, not even close, and he gambles far to much for my liking. He's obviously a great CB, but get's burnt... badly at times. It's all your teams philosophy but I'd rather have less turnovers and see more catches prevented. That could be a cheaper CB and I would invest that savings in my team identity which would be QB, Oline, WR and pass rush.
