Why do teams fake punts against us? Do they respect us?

They attacked Tolbert.

If you noticed they subbed him out and Wright was the gunner after the fake along with Williams

Did the cowboys opt out of running of trick plays this season or are we saving them for the playoffs?

Fake punts; swing passes; wheel routes and seam routes, are easy picking against the Cowboys. I forgot about screens.

As far as teams respecting us, the Cowboys are the very antithesis of a Dan Campbell led team. Undersized on the defensive line and soft against the run plus an offense that doesn't have a smash mouth running game isn't gonna scare other top tier playoff teams.

We shall see if our style succeeds in the playoffs.
The cowboys are a high wire act relying on turnovers and Dak's improvisational skills... Their path to victory is a narrow one. We need some luck!

Hasn't 3 teams done it and all 3 worked? Only way to end it is to actually not allow a first down on those which we haven't done. Forget about respect there's no such thing football is like war.

Do teams respect our special teams unit, or is it a failure on our coaches (Bones) as to why teams have success faking punts on us. Often times i'll see two guys covering the gunners, which is added incentive that nobody is going to be open for an easy fake. I'm not sure exactly what we're thinking, but teams have done this to us and we are stuck looking clueless. Is it a lack of focus, or just being arrogant? Please give your thoughts. Yes i'm sure it happens to other teams, but i'm focused on my team!
It is all something they saw in what Tolbert was doing!

Cmon folks.

It’s a sign of RESPECT that teams fake punt us, not the other way around.

They are desperate for points. Every team in this league knows that once they are stuck in a permanent pass happy position, game is over with our pass rush.

Broaddus said fassel's alignments is one issue the other is that Tolbert isn't experienced or have cover experience.
Yes, it should be noted that Tolbert was playing the outside on both fake punts and was burned twice the same way. He has no idea what he is doing out there. Even if it was not a fake punt his job is to block that guy. How can you block someone you are trailing behind by 5 yards? Other teams see the videos and think they can do the same thing.

They got rid of Joseph, who was a penalty machine, and they lost CJ Goodwin. Both guy knew what to do in those situations. Tolbert does not.

The teams who have faked punts on us have faked them on other teams to. It’s not about us as much as having the guys, and guts to do it

Haven’t seen any numbers to back that up but not hard to believe if you’re lucky to have a punter who was an ex-QB or something like that.
