i don't buy into coaching. the players play the game. bellicheat was a horrible coach until he found tom brady and adam vinatieri. switzer was a horrible coach and it didn't even matter. tom coughlin was an awful coach about to get fired then his defense won the superbowl, now hes a "genius".

It is not the players by themselves and it is not the coaches by themselves it takes both to win it all.

It takes a committed staff and players to reach the top.

Honestly who cares? Does it even matter if New England gets a pass or not? That has nothing to do with the Cowboys and frankly I couldn't care less what the media does or doesn't think cause they're going to write or say whatever they feel like anyway.

They do have some skins on the wall because of recent Super Bowls and last year's amazing run.

However, I do think they get more slack than any team.

Matt Cassell has actually played good as a full time starter. In fact some of those losses were not all on him.

Our backup QB play has been beyond horrid. Thats on our GM - Jerry Jones. Pioli and Bellicheater took a lot of heat for going into season with a young inexperienced QB.

Yet JJ was given a pass going into a season with a 40 year old stiff (HE HAS EXPERIENCE). Now we are signing 4th stringers like Brooks Bolingsavior.

Why is Dallas and JJ getting a pass IS THE BETTER QUESTION?

...for their starting quarterback going down, but the Cowboys don't? They have basically the same record we do, and in a much weaker conference and division.

We've played like crap the last three games, but Romo (and others) has been out just the same as Brady's been out, yet they get a pass.

JMO, but I still think we would have won the Arizona game had Romo not hurt his finger on the first play of overtime. Didn't we just score ten points in the last few minutes just to get to OT. How many times have we seen Romo take us down the field at the end of a game to win. And we all know Folk would have nailed a field goal. That man has ice water in his veins.

Just my opinion, but I'd like to hear everyone else's.

Basically the main difference is the Patriots have a backup qb who can throw the ball downfield and we did not.
Now people can go on and on about how the qb play is not the only thing wrong with the Cowboys but I do think that the backup qb play is the major problem with this team the last 3 games.
Our defense has not been playing great but Johnson has not been helping things but going 3 and out or by turning over the ball.
Jerry Jones needs to remember this stretch of the season next off-season and get a backup qb who at least has an NFL caliber arm.
A qb who can not throw the ball downfield kills our running game and the effects trickle down to every part of the team.
