Why do we never go for it on 4th down?

They run 4th down plays. Not often. But they do.

I can only think of one from 2 years ago, and I couldn't even tell you which game.

I CAN remember a whole mess of times we DID NOT go for it on 4th down, especially this one:
-4th and 3 at the 20yd line...down 20 points to the panthers...and we bring out the FG unit.

Ive been asking myself this question for a long time. If you are 4th and 1 with our O line. Why in the name of everything holy do you not take a chance once in awhile? Worst case scenario the other team is in their own endzone. Best case you score a TD. I really dont get it. Other teams go for it on 4th down, A LOT. And we just sit here and kick FGs all game?

That's not dumb. That's a dumb example to give because you know the Cowboys will go for it. On the one yard line? Of course they would and they do. I don't recall any of those instances yesterday though.
