This is a genuine question. I'm about to turn 23 next week, & it still baffles me why I still watch sports. I've played football my whole life, I love it. But why do I still watch? I've never been able to see my boys win a Super Bowl.. Never been able to see my Braves win.. I know a lot of you older guys have felt that greatness before, but I haven't. Every year we say the same thing, "next year". But it never happens..

Idk, maybe it's just me going into another year of panic mode, but still. I dont know how much longer I can do this haha. Maybe its just the whisky I'm drinking. Too another 8-8 year boys. Or not? My optimism comes and goes.. lol

I've seen them win multiple Super Bowls & was born into being a fan of this team. In the past, we've had long stretches of not getting to or winning the big one but every season you have hope that this will be the year that we get back to the promise land. All this misery will be worth it when we finally see it happen again & we need to embrace that feeling for as long as we can, because you never know how long it will take to happen again.

I wish I was 23 again.....

Hey, I'm 39 and the only NFL games I watch start to finish anymore are the Cowboys. And I no longer get so worked up over losses like I used to. When I was your age I was so "into it" that when Dallas lost I would often bring myself to the verge of being physically ill.

Take it from me. There's always another game, always another season. NFL football is meant to be entertainment; don't allow it to ruin aspects of your life. There's many more important things out there. It took me many years to realize that.

Watch the games, enjoy the games, and Go Cowboys!!

23? You don't know how good you have it. I'm 42 and today I'm thinking last season was the closest I'll get to see another SB before I die. The 90's wins were great but now a fading memory. But don't worry; once you get that exhilarating rush of a SB win, you'll know it was worth the pain and suffering.

The same reason you keep buying pretty women drinks. Lol, Salud bro. I've seen all 5 SB wins, it's worth the wait.

I still watch because I see football for what it is - entertainment. If a time ever comes where I no longer find it fun, then I won't watch anymore. I don't see that happening, though.

for me, I'm comforted (& slightly tortured) by the memories of their success when I was younger.

I'm stunned youngin's like you have hung with the Cowboys during all these years of futility & I'm surprised y'all don't despise jeri and his teams and quit watching years ago
