What’s the main reason you remain a fan? Are you a “can’t switch teams” guy? Are you a “one day when Jerry’s gone” guy? Are you a “the team is bigger than the owner” guy? Or are you just a “I don’t know anymore” guy?

Every year is more and more depressing, and I am really looking deep to find the answer to this question for myself. Perhaps I can find some better explanations from y'all, because I don’t really know anymore.

Diehard since 77/78, can’t remember the exact year.

Loyalty. Family connection I was born into. I love football and I couldn’t stand to give them up and then watch them win another Super Bowl.

Roger Staubach and the triplets....memories are all i got to hang on to. Sadly I dont think ill see another SB championship for the Cowboys in ny lifetime.

I’m an nfl fan Dallas just happens to be the team I admire most and I now live here so I can follow things closely

Giving up isn’t an option tempered expectations are

I like the team. People on this board just care way too much about the owner. Enjoy the season, enjoy the games. Don't worry so much about how the team is run 24/7 and you'll be a lot happier.

It all started with the Jimmy Johnson and now it’s kinda fun to see Jerry continue to ruin this franchise since.

My buddy that worked for the Cowboys says he thinks when Jerry dies there will be a legal battle between Stephen and Charlotte.
I could see that depends on the old man’s will I suppose. Jerry has sole ownership So he does not have to worry about a group or stock holders. Maybe he will divest the team among all the kids before he goes. If charlotte was to have majority control I trust she would hire a good general manager. Stephen will sell. So either way. When Jerry dies the future looks up. I hate to say that. I love Jerry really but his day is past

Owners, GMs, coaches, players, fans…..all come and go.
The STAR, the history of rising and falling and rising and falling and rising again never changes.

Neither does my fandom.
I’m 68 years old, and I have been a fan of The Dallas Cowboys football team, the Saint Louis Cardinals baseball team, and the New York Knicks basketball team since I was 9 years old. I can like and admire other teams, but they all rise and fall.

The Dallas Cowboys will always be my team…..period!

It was my team of choice before Jerry Jones owned it and it will be my team hopefully long after he's gone. I can't control the team's owner, but I can control whether he makes me abandon my team. I'm not going to let him do that. I may fan a little differently now, but this is my team.
