Why do you remain a Cowboys fan?

What’s the main reason you remain a fan? Are you a “can’t switch teams” guy? Are you a “one day when Jerry’s gone” guy? Are you a “the team is bigger than the owner” guy? Or are you just a “I don’t know anymore” guy?
"Can't switch teams" guy here. Just couldn't imagine wearing another teams colors, no matter how hard it has been over the last years. Oh wait, the last years? Rather most of my lifetime.

But I have lowered my emotional engagement. To the level of "close to zero" I would say. A full rebuild with a young talented QB could change that, even if that wouldn't work right away (like any rebuild). Right now I'm just waiting for certain people to go, knowing that each regular season win will get us exactly nowhere.

Every year is more and more depressing, and I am really looking deep to find the answer to this question for myself. Perhaps I can find some better explanations from y'all, because I don’t really know anymore.

Diehard since 77/78, can’t remember the exact year.
I am much like you a die hard since the same years.

I hate jerry jones and what he has made cowboys into, but I am a cowboys fan.

I am an anti-jones advocate and as a result now want to see the cowboys be humiliated and watch Jerry squirm in his **********

I'm no longer a "can't switch" guy.
I used to be, but Jerry killed that. The extension he gave Dak on opening day of last season destroyed any hope that the Cowboys would return to being the franchise that I grew up loving.
That franchise is gone forever, and even if they were to rebuild and be successful in ten or fifteen years, it will be something different.
The Dallas Cowboys we once loved are gone forever.
And there is nothing about this team other than the colors that inspires me.
There are certain players I still cheer, but this franchise doesn't do anything to make fans want to cheer for it.

Grew up with the cowboys...I played and coached because of them. I could have done many other things, but being a successful coach, winning about a dozen football championships and feeling the Gatorade bath a few times in front of 12 or 13 thousand fans, including my wife and daughter., helping many kids and adults with their careers is priceless. To this day, I talk to players I've known since the late 80s. Hired 8 of them as assistants, 12 of my coordinators have gone on to become HCs.....was one of the highest paid coaches in the state, that allowed me to grow my Real Estate investments, that allowed me to retire at 50, enjoy family and show appreciation to the team that led me down that path. Any questioms?

I'm grandfathered in. I've been a diehard loyal fan for nearly 50 years and the thought of turning my back on the Cowboys has never crossed my mind. The child in me who absolutely fell in love with the team would look at me and say, how could you betray us?
