Why Does anyone Question The Play Calling

I do. Did you ever see the movie Hoosiers? I know it is fiction, but it is also great.

Jimmy and Shooter could see what the coach was doing. The other players could.

The fans couldn't.

I'll never be part of the maddening crowd Beast. It ain't going to happen. I, like Robert Frost, will take the path less traveled, because that makes all the difference.

Enjoy your misery over the loss. I gotta try and sleep. Damned insomnia.

No misery here, I have gotten used to losing over the past 15 seasons.

If we ever do win another championship, I seriously will not know what to do. I will probably run naked through my neighborhood yelling "how bout them Cowboys!!!!"

Jim Plunkett, Steve Young, Ken Stabler, and Roger Staubach all say hello. Each was considered a risk because of the gambles they took with the football. Heck even Elway was for a time.

Until Otto Graham no one believed a passing QB could win anything. No one stopped Graham at all.

While I cannot speak to Plunkett and Stabler (I have seen both play but did not know enough about football at the time to analyze them)...I can speak to Young. Young was, in my opinion, light years ahead of Romo. He always, seemingly, understood the meaning of the game for the play at hand. Young was, and still is, one of the smartest players to *ever* play the game. it is unfortunate (for him) that he followed Joe Mo. Young, IMHO, was the best QB combination to ever play the game (brains/athleticism).

Romo doesn't belong in that conversation. He is Brett Favre, redux. While he, undoubtedly can make all of the throws...he inevitably *doesn't* make them when it matters. Both coach, and QB, should hang their heads.

Going forward...I say, ***-It. Put Romo on the bench in the 3rd and 4th Qtrs. It's the only way to save ourselves from ourselves.

I swore I would never bother to respond to a post with the word Tecmo because it is so childish, but this one is a softball.

Do you see no difference in the performance, attitude, effort, discipline, and makeup of the team under the two coaches?

If not, get your eyes checked. If so, learn from it.

Hos, Let me get this out real quick. People on this forum kiss your *** because you are a mod. All I ask is that you stick to the topic. Let me explain:

Anyone who places quotes on EVERYTHING in a fan forum really has nothing good to say. Either you will answer the initial question and shut the hell up or you will continue with your bull**** HOS.

Start your own post if you want to talk about Dan Marino. We all get the fact that the Cowbaoys have no other option than Tony Romo in 2011, That doesn't mean he needs to be the option in 2012.

You know damn well, he is entrusted to "kill" a play wether it be running or passing the ball.

Now I must move on to the Peyton Manning Comparison, Really....Really. C'mon Hoss....Ever Heard of Dementia? You need to check yourself bud! I like how you try to play this forum game Hossy, Unfortunately for you I'm not buying it,
Kiddo, LOL!;)

You asked me to quantify things that I wouldn't normally do. I put value on those things. I see a different team than 2010. If you see the same team then I truly feel sorry for you, and I don't mean that in any mean way. That is something I don't think I would wish on anyone.

Gotcha, curious about one thing..

At any point during some of the comedy of errors we've witnessed from the Dallas Cowboys thus far early in the season, have you ever thought to yourself, "Man, maybe this guy isn't what I thought he was" in reference to Jason Garrett? Even for a fleeting second?

I know your man love for him. I'm just curious at what point the armor begins to show cracks.

The Defense should hang Tony Romo by his feet like a Pinata and take turns hitting him with a football. Then They should hang HOS up next simply because he backs Romo, lol.

Just Kidding HOS, but Romo fans deserve the same beating."cough..cough....

Nope.

When the HC/OC calls almost 50 pass plays in a game where not only did he have a 24 point lead in the second half, but never trailed in the game until the final 2 minutes....................yes, he does deserve blame.

Yea, Romo threw the pics but when your HC/OC thinks he is playing XBOX and wants to do some "run n shoot" with a QB with busted ribs and a punctured lung................yes, he deserves blame.

Um, there was a 1/2 hour left in the game when were were up by 24. However, thanks to your boy it became 10 points 90 seconds later. So most of the 2nd half it was a close game. The Vikings were also up 20 on this team the week before. And lost.

We did run the ball after pick 6 #1 like 8 times in 10 plays. We ONLY threw on 3rd down. But dont let facts get in the way of your love for Wad Phillips and taking his failures out on the current winning coach.

Any reason you need to lie to make your case? Looks rather shady.

What are you going by to quantify changes in performance, attitude, effort, makeup? What are the big differences you can point to? I would say the defense looks to be playing with more effort and more confidence, which I attribute to Rob Ryan. Although, Garrett obviously gets full credit for bringing Ryan here.

Other than that? I don't know. I look at the offense and I see stuff like Choice running out of bounds last week when we were trying to run out the clock, Felix running out of bounds short of the first down today, the meltdown against the Jets, blowing a 24-point lead today.

I swear if Wade was still the coach we would all be sitting here talking about how that kind of undisciplined crap would never fly if we had a real coach. Now, at least according to some, we have one..but the same stuff is still going on.

I am pretty sure when your QB throws 3 picks and hands the game away the focus would be on that. Wad lovers (like yourself?) NEVER blamed Wad for anything. No tackling? Its the players! Players quit? Its the players! Draft picks? Its Garretts fault! Penalties? Garrett!

Romo tosses 3 dumb picks? Why is everyone giving Garrett a free pass? LOL. A joke my friend. This team was called scrappers and winners before the elite QB did his thing Sunday.

Uh, what?

All caps scraming and cussing me out and I still don't know what you're babbling about.

Start your own post if you want to talk about Dan Marino.

Okay? Is this going anywhere?

We all get the fact that the Cowbaoys have no other option than Tony Romo in 2011, That doesn't mean he needs to be the option in 2012.
Then by all means come up with a viable solution going forward. And please don't say lose the rest of our games and draft Luck.

You know damn well, he is entrusted to "kill" a play wether it be running or passing the ball.
I said he wasn't? When and where?

Now I must move on to the Peyton Manning Comparison, Really....Really.
This is moving on to a Peyton Manning comparison? A mimicry of The Miz?

Really? REALLY?

C'mon Hoss....Ever Heard of Dementia?
Rock band out of California. Not my cup of tea.

There a forum game that I like to play that is for sale but you're not buying it.

Okay then.

Can I ask one question? Okay two, since that was one? Three since that was two? Ah hell, forget it.

Oh, I was far from a Wade backer. I blamed him for the team's stupid play and I do the same now with Jason Garrett.

Do you really think Garrett bears no responsibility as head coach/offensive coordinator/play caller/supposed QB guru for Romo's three INT's? Garrett's job is to put his players in the best position to win. He didn't do that today, and we lost.

I am taking Wade's failures out on the current winning coach?

Wade lost only 3 games his entire first year as head coach, your boy RedBall already has lost 2 and both are going down in the record books.

Wade won 2 division titles in 3.5 seasons and he won a playoff game. The "current winning coach" has a .500 record.

When your boy RedBall can win something more than "who speaks the best at a pc" award...........get back to me.

Basically, I'm not whining just to join the rest. It's my only complaint at all with Garrett. Let this team get healthy and everyone will be on the wagon again. Romo is hurting and doesn't have the zip on the ball he's accustomed to. People seem to be forgetting that, including Tony who should have realized he can't be trying to squeeze the ball in tight spaces while he's injured.

And this is where both Romo and Garett should share the blame.
Romo for trying to make some of these plays and JG for not being a constant
reminder to Romo that he needed to play with more control.
