Why does Buehler deserve a chance?

Did I defend Folk Mr. Poultry? Or did I simply say 1 FG in a preseason game is "evidence?"

You could look at Buehler college stats also. But no matter how you slice the poor performance of FOlk is enough to warrant Buehler attempting FG's in game.

I haven't paid a lot of attention to our inactives, but it might make sense to sit Folk if we're sitting a player of value on specials or in providing depth.

Not saying Buehler would be any better, but he probably wouldn't be any worse.

He can't possibly be any worse the Folk is right now, the only reason Folk is still our kicker is because he hit those 2 kicks in Buffalo 2 years ago :bang2:

Actually it is because he is the best option.

You can cut him and get someone who was cut by someone else earlier in the year. But, me, I find my own garbage less disgusting than someone else's.

Actually, I think Ware is going to end up forcing this issue. Ware wants to play Saturday. If he does there is no way we don't take an extra OLB. That activates Curtis Johnson, so if Buehler shows anything in practice as the PK, he may well be our only kicker against NO.

We don't need to cut or sign anyone we have 2 kickers...

Even if Buehler can't do it we'd be getting exactly the same as we are from Folk right now who's hit something like 2 of his last 8. Keeping him active so he can go out and miss FGs when at the very worst Buehler could do the same and also kick off is pretty pointless. When the potential upside is that Buehler might actually hit his kicks, why not give him a shot?

Buehler should start.

i would say that folks current form and the fact that beuhler is a kicker on our roster is a legitimate reason beuhler should get a chance.
the fact beuhler scored a field goal in pre-season on the other hand i wouldn't say is a legitimate reason to give him a chance.
on another note did mcghee complete a pass in pre-season?

Buehler can kick 50 Yard Field Goals. PROOF!
UTEP's Jose Martinez could/should have been a late round pick or FA signing. He's got a strong leg for both kickoffs and FGs. He hit a 64yd FG last season.

Unfortunately he tested positive for weed after the combine so....

Well, at this point the Cowboys have to work with whom they have which is Buehler and Folk. I believe Buehler should start.
