Why does no one care more that Noah Brown is No. 2 WR

I don’t feel there’s been enough attention to Noah Brown being the No. 2 WR to start the season. He averaged 25 snaps per game last year in 12 games and that was with 111 taking place between the Chiefs and Raider games when everyone was down (we saw how well those games went).

Of those snaps I’d bet half were on special teams.

Rolling out Brown and relying on Gallup to be the savior when healthy is the same thing they tried with Tyron. Gallup had injury issues everywhere last year which is why there was no competition to sign him.

To me this shows Jerry and Stephen are hedging their bets with McCarthy to justify bringing in Sean. If they win and have to keep McCarthy - great. If they go 9-8 and first round exit (or worse) - bring in Sean who will magically fix everything. Which is stupidity for so many reasons.

But back to the premise, Noah Brown is AWFUL as the No. 2 even if it’s just for the opener which 105.3 thinks it is. They feel Gallup is back for Cincy.

This theme of xxx player is horrible and Jerry is playing him to make sure McCarthy fails so they can bring in Peyton is ludicrous and not sure why it keeps popping up.

Cowboys want to reward Noah for 6 years of spot service.

How about watching week 1 and seeing how it goes?
We do not even know what our week 1 depth chart will be and there is zero reason for Dallas to tell the world.
For all we know they could line up that first play with Pollard or Turpin in the slot and Noah Brown on the bench.
All that said Noah Brown has been a part of very successful offenses in the past. He has impacted games with his blocking.

I suspect they’re going to be in a lot of 12 personal especially the early part of the season. At this point Brown is probably the best choice. Frankly there ain’t much you can do other than scream shrilly and vigorously stomp your foot… I’m to old and it ain’t gonna change anything!

Many on this board think Jerry et al know what their doing, coz Jerry won 3 SBs way back when, so it's all good.
Reality will bite hard this year!

I have had nothing but positive things to say about Will McClay. I am sure there are several other front office people that do a great job. But this entire offseason is proof that there are nothing but "YES" men around Jerry Jones. And that INCLUDES Stephen. The talent on this roster has been downgraded this season...and the was before the injuries. So counting on a lesser talented team to stay healthy was a risk. Especially when you have cap room and don't HAVE to downgrade the talent on the roster. Not making trades. Not picking up veteran WRs and/or oline men.

I get it...Jerry EXPECTS Dak to perform like he is being paid. He EXPECTS Zeke to perform like he is being paid. He EXPECTS McCarthy to perform like he is being paid. But all three have shown you their ceiling...and it is not nearly good enough. Just because you pay someone like they are the best, does not mean they are the best. After this many years in the NFL and sports in general....Jerry should know this. Every NBA player that gets a max contract does not mean they are a max player. The rules are designed so that players have to get their share. And I have no problem with that. But their are levels to this. We have a good QB, not a top tier QB. We have a good RB, not a top tier RB. And I think McCarthy is simply average. The Shannahans and McVeighs etc...are the top tier coaches in the NFL. I know Jerry thinks he is grooming Kellen Moore to be that guy. But will he become that learning from Garrett and McCarthy? Those guys that come from the Mike Shanahann tree seem to be running the NFL these days.

I will never understand this offseason. It's not as if this was Jerry's first rodeo. It's not as if he has 30 years in front of him. To take a 12-5 division winner...and do this is just puzzling!!!!!! Actually, it's not. He has always wanted to be unconventional to appear like a genius if it all works. And hey, why not? What are the repercussions if it doesn't? He has 3 Super Bowl rings. He is in the HOF. And his franchise is worth more than any other franchise in the history of sports.

Tony Pollard may take up the slack at WR while Gallup is out for another week or two. Heard that Pollard was taking snaps at WR in TC to do just that. Pollard may not come off the field much while moving from RB to WR. He has the talent to move around, and too much playmaking ability to sit on the bench more than a play or two/game.

Brown isn’t the best choice and you’re fool if you believe every word Jones spew out.

Gallup won't be 100% at all this year. My fingers are crossed that we can even make pass attempts because our QB may be on his back or running for his life all season.

Let us pray.

Noah Brown is a good blocker and our offensive line is in a shambles maybe that has something to do with it.

It looks as though Gallup may be back sooner than expected so everyone is not totally losing their mind over this

Lol, someone who consistently expresses the “basic reasoning skills of a potato” probably shouldn’t use the word fool in their vocabulary!
