Why does no one care more that Noah Brown is No. 2 WR

Last year WR1,2 was Lamb and Cooper. How did that work out? We are doing the same thing we always do, trying to copy success. Last year we got bullied by the Niners a run first team and now, according to Jerry, that's what we're going to be.

Monkey see monkey do..... We should have done this long ago. Not because the Niners are doing it.

I think so too. Especially with how expensive WRs have gotten. If you look at the Niners they had Samuel, Aiyuk, and Kittle.

If the offensive line don’t hold up the receivers won’t be seeing the ball a lot..the tight ends might be more important than ever. And I have very little faith that the left side of the line will be very good…

I'm glad Brown finally gets a chance. He's got the talent. He's always had to fight against even better talent.

I'm not predicting he has to be a super star...as some appear to think he MUST do to be accepted. I think he will be an average #2 WR.....which SHOULD be good enough. For sane people.

he's better than given credit.
he may start week 1...but once gallup returns, the line up will change.
this offense looks to be more balanced...hopefully we'll stay committed to the run.
but with gallup set to return soon,i'm not worried that brown is the #2....for 1 game.
2 maybe.

he was eroding under garrett.
once mccarthy got here...he's looked like a different player.
dalton schultz...tony pollard....cedrick wilson his last 2yrs ....they all emerged in this offense under mccarthy.
something else he won't get credit for.

Landry would have let Brown go 3rd year.
He's not a #2 WR and will attract the same crowd if released as Garrett did when he was released

I heard from a non-reliable source that week 1, first offense series, Parsons will be lining up at left tackle and be an eligible receiver. And, he's secretly worked his way into the backup QB role and is also a reliable kicker.

The sky isn't falling. Parsons is going to be playing at every weak position.

(I'm the unreliable source. I'm just making stuff up)

I am more concerned about having a bowel movement then I am worried about Brown. I suspect for a game or two we will be just fine. PS. Much much more concerned about the O line. That might mess up my bowel movement.

The WR group is going to be interesting to watch all year. They are thin and messy health wise. None of them are proven #1 guys. This passing attack was shutdown the last half of last year and that's when they had more talent.

I don’t feel there’s been enough attention to Noah Brown being the No. 2 WR to start the season. He averaged 25 snaps per game last year in 12 games and that was with 111 taking place between the Chiefs and Raider games when everyone was down (we saw how well those games went).

Of those snaps I’d bet half were on special teams.

Rolling out Brown and relying on Gallup to be the savior when healthy is the same thing they tried with Tyron. Gallup had injury issues everywhere last year which is why there was no competition to sign him.

To me this shows Jerry and Stephen are hedging their bets with McCarthy to justify bringing in Sean. If they win and have to keep McCarthy - great. If they go 9-8 and first round exit (or worse) - bring in Sean who will magically fix everything. Which is stupidity for so many reasons.

But back to the premise, Noah Brown is AWFUL as the No. 2 even if it’s just for the opener which 105.3 thinks it is. They feel Gallup is back for Cincy.

I think people obviously care and are concerned over the idea of Noah Brown being the #2 WR but what else does Dallas have at the moment? Cooper was traded so we can't look back on that. Gallup is recovering from injury and Dallas is simply going with Brown as he knows the system and they have to go with someone they can rely on, even if Brown is more of a short yardage, blocking type WR who at best should be a #4 or #5 on the depth chart.

If we are fortunate, a younger WR steps up and becomes a gem but in also being honest the names after Lamb, Gallup, and Brown are complete unknowns.

Tony Pollard may take up the slack at WR while Gallup is out for another week or two. Heard that Pollard was taking snaps at WR in TC to do just that. Pollard may not come off the field much while moving from RB to WR. He has the talent to move around, and too much playmaking ability to sit on the bench more than a play or two/game.
Why keep a Rolls Royce in the garage on a sunny day? Free Tony Pollard for goodness sakes! Seems like he has been shackled ever since he came aboard. All they need to do is look at how he was used at Memphis and formulate a plan on how to use him properly here. Not rocket science by any means.

I've maintained ever since Pollard began getting some WR snaps in OTAs that KM and company weren't kidding about that... it was always going to be (a) Lamb, (b) high draft pick and (c) Pollard part-time+someone else part-time.

Turns out "someone" was Noah Brown... at least up until Gallup passed his physical.

It is a new year, new season but we saw this script one time before and it was ugly. Trade for Cooper bailed out the Cowboys. Do we have the horsepower to overcome the deficit this season or do we trade our next seasons one for another rental? I for one hope we overcome and don't have to go that route again. But interesting to watch indeed.

You can't have all pros at every position, duh.

We had Michael Irvin and some jags in early 90s.

Dallas wants to be a run first team this year and Noahr Brown is an excellent blocker.

How did Miles Austin perform before he got his chance to start?

But let's PANIC, because Brown will start two or three games. Posters act like Turpin, Zeke, Pollard, Shultz, Lamb, Ferguson, Tolbert, and Dak can't be trusted to make plays. We have a lot of other weapons on this offense, but choose to PANIC over one guy.
