Why does our team lack emotion?

We have all seen teams that seem "fired up" to be playing football.

We saw one last night.

The Ravens almost seem insane, .. Lewis, Reed, Suggs, .. players jumping up and down.

Fired up. !!

I see an occasional fist go up the air during our games, but that is usually a ST guy.

And no emotion at all on the sidelines.

Football is one sport that attitude can make a huge impact.

I miss Michael.

I' ve been wondering the same for awhile now.. During all of those senseless Merriman vs. Ware posts I mentioned that the only thing I wish was that Ware had Merrimans' passion... We definetly need someone that can light a fire under someones butt and get the job done..... It seems as though its quite leadership from the players that have been called out as a leader.. Newman , RW , Bradie James.. I ask this question? Who is the leader on the offensive side of the ball.. Who is the one thats going to jerk and offensive lineman by the helmet and tell him to do his job.. Nobody that is the answer...

I think teams take on the personality of their fans. The cowboys play like the fans at Texas stadium.....passive. If you look at your very aggressive teams...they usually have aggressive fan base (philadelphia, Baltimore, San Diego). The raiders are the exception to this because the dont mirror their fan base.

This is a good topic.

I believe the emotion was a big factor in us having the No. 1 defense in 2003 - those guys flew around everywhere. The team seemed to adopt Dat and Woodson's attitude.

I'm not sure this defense really has that kind of emotional leader.

I have asked myself that same question, to me Dallas plays to 'corporate' instead of showing CRAZY emotion.

TO?

Ratliff?

I see it when Roy gets a big hit.

I see it when we get sacks (not enough of them).

I've seen it when our D has scored the last 2 weeks.

I see our OL in the endzone with our RB's and WR's score.

cause frankenstein is our qb

Geez, how overboard are we going to go on this anti-Bledsoe thing?

I can understand not liking him, but what's next - are we going to blame him for TO's broken bone, rising real estate prices in the Dallas area and the Rangers missing the playoffs?

If you have to post, post responsibly.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

You said it.

We play like white collar workers when we should be playing like blue collar workers.

Because Bill Parcells drains the life force out of his players?

Did you watch Parcells defenses in New York and New England?

I was thinking the same thing when I saw Trotter going crazy on Sunday and then watching the Ravens entire D last night. We have no real leader on defense to get the guys fired up. I'd say Aaron Glenn plays with more emotion than almost anyone on that defense.

We had it offense with Irvin and we recaptured some of it when Key came here. In my opinion it's something that is sorely missed on this team right now.

Football should be fun.

I don't believe in overdoing it, but we lack emotion and don't seem to be having fun, which looks like you dont' care.

I love to see guys flying around and look like they are having a ball.

John Lynch is another one that seems to be enjoying himself.

I agree, some guys just look like they cant wait to get on the field... Joey Porter, Trotter, Dawkins, Ray Lewis... that's what we need. That kind of energy brings a lot to a defense and to a team in general.

I'm not sure that is something that you can fake or just make happen.

It is either there or it is not.

Probably has something to do with the atmosphere at practice too.

Bledsoe is the captain.

Should the team leader be the guy that shows the most emotion .......

If so, TO is the man.

Now THAT's a scary thought.
