Why does the offense look so much different with another QB?

You know the offense scored 22 points vs a bad D right.
Actually it was only 20. Though I suppose you could argue that the missed FGs should have made it 26 which would have been a record output with Rush at QB. Ironically with the defensive lapse against McClaurin 26 would not have been enough!!

What do you mean what?
"actually, factually...there are three jerseys I own. Emmitt, Witten, Staubach and Aikman,"

1) Emmitt
2) Witten
3) Staubach
4) Aikman

" looking to buy Irvin soon (although he upset me at the time with his off field antics) and Larry Allen"

So the way you wrote it you have four jerseys looking to buy two more.

"Factually".

totally agree, the Dak hate crowd is not Rush Sloberer cult. you should read the post and the arse licking.....its funny how they are trying to one up each other....feeding frenzy :)
I think the dak slobberers get a little more nasty about things than dak haters. Maybe a certain person we aren't allowed to mention tips the scale to way nasty.

That’s baloney
I think he does read the defense very well.
He might not have the physical traits or the playing time to be a killer about it.

These are totally different things.

For a "noodle arm"...he does make plays. Explain that.

You'd have to be able to read it pretty well ...don't you think? You CAN NOT have a "noodle arm" and not read defenses well to do that. .

I think Rush reads defenses pretty well too. I just don't agree that he is light years ahead of Dak in that department as some seem to imply. Dak reads defenses just fine 98% of the time. He holds onto the ball longer because he can. He's bigger and stronger and more athletic than most QBs so he believes he can hang in there, move around or just throw a defender off to allow the receivers more time to work open. Younger and more athletic QBs tend to hold the ball longer. It is what it is. The Cowboys can win games with Rush .. they just have to do it a different way than they do with Dak. Frankly I don't care which way they do it as long as they win.

counting mistake, but given that's the only straw you have to hang on to in order not to drown. I get the deperation.

When Cooper Rush is the starting QB, the offense averages 17.3 points a game.

The reason he is 6-3 as a starter is because, not only does his defense hold the opponent to 21 points a game, they also score an average of 2.3 points a game.

With Rush, the Cowboys average margin of victory is 8.2 points. Their average margin of defeat is 20.3 points.

In these nine games as a starter, Rush completes 60.1% of his passes. He is 176-293-1927-10TD-5INT for a 83.8 passer rating.

The Cowboys offense has a ceiling of 25 points with Rush as the starter. When he starts, the gameplan isn't to outscore an opponent, it is to limit the opponent scoring.

In 5 of the 6 victories with Rush as the starter, the defense held the opponent to 17 or less points. The only time an opponent scored more in a Cowboys victory with Rush was last Sunday when Washington scored 26 points. Luckily, the special teams bailed the team out with two scores.

If you watch the film / all 22, the scheme and route trees seem to be different since Rush took over. More modern if you will. Rush still sucks but it’s interesting that they would make this change.

That’s what I’ve been saying. Idk if Dak’s audibling out of a lot of it or Mccarthy is just calling whatever when Dak’s in the game and just expecting guys to win.

Two things can be true at once:

1) Dak is much better than Rush. Let’s not fool ourselves.

2) If Rush is better at something, it’s avoiding unnecessary sacks. Dak holds on to the ball and wonders into defenders. He makes the pass protection look worse than it is. In past seasons, when the offense was humming, it overcame the sacks. This year, there’s been no humming.
1) Dak WAS much better than Rush (before this season.) This season? He hasn't been.
2) Rush can read the field a little better and avoids unnecessary sacks more. Dak plays hero ball (like Romo used to) and tries to make something happen but just won't read the field fast enough for it to work most of the time. But teams figured this out about Dak. Take away the run game and he'll panic trying to win it in the air.

The thread doesn't even have to mention Dak, man. They interject him into whatever topic the thread is about. We could be talking about the run blocking and they would devolve it into a Dak dis-track. It's really annoying.
I know, keeps the large majority of posters from having decent convos. Wish Dak had a little place of his own so mods could keep him out of every convo.
