Why doesn't Dak run more?

I know he's only played one game. But I look around the league and most of the top qb's use their legs to help them make plays. Allen, Mahomes, Rodgers, Jackson, Wilson, Murray to name a few. In our own division there is hurts and jones.

With the way we can run the ball I just don't get how its not a huge part of our arsenal. Designed runs, RPO's. With the way we can run the ball. if the defense has to account for him using his legs its one more thing they have to worry about. It can open things up for everyone.

When he came up he was electric making plays when he broke the pocket. He's still capable of doing it. When he ran for a td in the playoff game last year, or when he ran on the last play of the game. Yet majority of the time we had him back there at times last year like he was Tom Brady. If dak comes back, I need to see him run more. It will help the offense as a whole.

After his injury last season he changed.
Hesitation creeped into a lot of his play and things became a head game for him, running included...it was very obvious
When he returns I’m hoping he’s got all his ducks back in a row and can ball out and for sure that includes some running.

Rogers legs is why I put him over Brady. I think their mental game is the same...but Rogers has legs. Rogers also doesnt throw the ball into the ground if the play is blown up...he actually tries to make a play with his legs. You can argue with me all day "being smart with the football" or how many Super Bowls he won on a cheating team...I would take Rogers over Brady if my life depended on it due to his legs.

This is what I really loved about Dak when he burst on the scene in 2016 he could put the team on his back run the ball and move the chains.

He could put his head down get a first down get tackled get back up and lead the team.

Then he got injured paid and running was a thing of the past.

If he won't run anymore that really takes a lot away from his game and makes our offense much more predictable and that's not a good thing.

After the gruesome ankle injury the brain trust became fearful, they took that part of his game away. But this is the NFL, and you can get hurt at any time. He hurt his calf rolling out, he hurt his thumb in the pocket. I think if he wants to be the best version of himself he needs to run. There's a big difference between running over someone and getting the yards that's available to you and getting down.

The one time he should not have run was the last play of a playoff game

For one thing Dak just doesn’t look like the same guy when he does run as he did in year one. Not sure exactly why as he is still young. Maybe heavier? Maybe the injuries? Maybe the team is just making sure he runs more in control and trying to limit injuries? Who knows but he sure doesn’t look the same to my eyes. But I’d still like to see him run more on 3rd downs and in big spots. But he needs to be more careful and protect himself and not run like he did on that play against the Giants two years ago.

If the circumstances call for him to run the dayum well tuck it and go. These are times you pull out all stops. With this D and more parity in NFC this team has a chance to do something.
Dak been here 7yrs...time to pull out all the what if’s stops and concerns.
Play tough hard nosed football señor Dak....if that includes running. Do it vatto.

That is what I'm saying, if they are going to worry about him getting hurt they aren't going to win anything. Now is the time to do it. You have rush to backup. Dak needs to run, he needs to do it often per game. Cause if we did it this offense could be very difficult to defend against.

I think its safe to assume his ankle will never be 100%, so now that he cant run he is even less effective.

Beefing up Qb's to take hits as pocket passers is taking away from a players game.

You should never take the legs away from a player.
