In the end Dak is a company man through and through (just like Romo)
His main objective is to make as much money as possible and that means health and that means not running

I have a feeling for the most part his running days are over. He's not that young anymore and the wheels are wobbly and one has already had to be rebuilt. I can see him doing QB sneaks and maybe a rollout where he runs for 4 or 5 yards and goes out of bounds. He has never been elusive, he was just big and strong. Quick twitch and Dak were never used in the same sentence.

Yea, he could probably help himself out if he did at least make an effort, keep the defense honest or he's going to have an extremely congested secondary to throw into....he needs a running game and that includes himself. But you're right his body probably restricts him to what he did previously.

I know he's only played one game. But I look around the league and most of the top qb's use their legs to help them make plays. Allen, Mahomes, Rodgers, Jackson, Wilson, Murray to name a few. In our own division there is hurts and jones.

With the way we can run the ball I just don't get how its not a huge part of our arsenal. Designed runs, RPO's. With the way we can run the ball. if the defense has to account for him using his legs its one more thing they have to worry about. It can open things up for everyone.

When he came up he was electric making plays when he broke the pocket. He's still capable of doing it. When he ran for a td in the playoff game last year, or when he ran on the last play of the game. Yet majority of the time we had him back there at times last year like he was Tom Brady. If dak comes back, I need to see him run more. It will help the offense as a whole.
Watch what happens to the quarterback tonight when he runs. This is not a safe environment for quarterbacks. If you only way they can hit them

His “athleticism” has been overrated since day 1…….now his health and endurance are becoming urban legend as well. He’s damaged goods and the cowboys are on the hook for a cap hit of 49Mil in 2023 and 52 Million in 2024 from this guy.

But Jerry is a football wizard (he thinks) - and a plunger. Plungers are high rollers who play large to show off and end up losing their entire bankroll even faster to the casino. I guess he's trying to impress the chicks. :lmao::lmao2:

He slow, timid and has bad football brain disease.

in 2016 he had the best line in the NFL, the leading rusher, and Witten and a great receiving corp. He was limited in level of difficulty and did very well at not turning the ball over

But he hit his ceiling quickly after that and the FO bid against only themselves in signing him and left themselves without another viable option at the Qb position

I’ve made my peace with it. He’s here for a couple more years and I don’t want to see any more of those games like he played against the Bucs. The defense is peaking and we need to have him carry his weight so we can get another Lombardi here.

Yep, we might have a Trent Dilfer situation here. There are worse things for sure.

Some QBs are able to run and then get down or out of bounds without being lit up, some can't. The ones that can't shouldn't run unless the team has a capable backup,,,, oh wait!

Excellent question!
They want him to be a pocket passer?
Concerns over another injury?
That's all I got !
