Why don't we open the roof more?

Because it makes me wonder why we even have a retractable roof if we aren't going to open it. It'd have been cheaper for the community to make it a fixed roof if they're not going to open it .
Still, if doing that costs a lot of money, and not doing that doesn't have a downside (or to put it differently, isn't necessary in any way), then why do it? Whether it's there or not.

I know a guy who's never opened the roof of his convertible. He says it's either too hot or the weather's too bad. So why did he buy one? "I liked the option".

People.

I mean, yeah, but it also goes to the same breath of the design flaw for the stadium. The glare is an obvious issue, but the option of the retractable roof makes sense if they won't use it. I think the last I'm time they used it was 2020, if I'm not mistaken.

I know the first year it had to do with the likely-hood of storms in the area and the temperature outside. There were certain criteria that had to be met with those.

Right, I mean, I live in Cleveland, so I obviously wasn't in Dallas for the game. But, from what I saw, I'd love to know what criteria was missing that kept the roof closed. Especially if they haven't opened it in 4 years.

I know the sun puts a glare on the big screen in day games and Jerry doesn’t like it.
This is the most plausible explanation.

None of this would be an issue if they had postseason success anytime lately.

Their current philosophy has no chance of working and never will, yet they are arrogant as if it’s a proven winner.

Especially when it gets to like November when it's not so hot, why don't we have the roof open more? If Jerry wants the aesthetics of the sun shining through the stadium, isn't that why the roof is retractable? What's the point of having a retractable roof if you're only going to open the roof once every few years (except for 2020)? That way, he can have curtains off to the west, and he can still get the sun shining into the stadium with the roof being open.
JJ's wife doesn't feel like dusting the entire inside of the stadium if JJ opens the roof and allows all the dust and dirt to settle on her act collection...........

Lol, oof, that might be an issue. Luckily, I might know someone who can help store art while the roof is open lol.

I've been to several open-roof games. I remember it started raining on one of them. It should be opened pretty much every game in November and December. The weather here is PERFECT. It doesn't even get cold until at least January now.

Is that true? It would make sense. It's always driven me crazy that they don't open the stadium on perfect days like Sunday.
Yes it’s true. One of the radio guys that used to work for the Cowboys heard it straight from stadium staff that Jerry doesn’t want it open for day games because of the effect it has on being able to see the big screens.

Well, exactly, and I like outdoor football. I think it'd be good for them to play a few open roof games a year. Definitely Thanksgiving at a minimum.

Well, that sounds like a design flaw lol. Plus, like I said, they could put solar panels on top of it to help with the glare. Plus, the solar panels can help power the Jumbotron, so it's a win win.

Because Jerry's helicopter doesn't fit through the opening, allowing him to land on the field during a TV timeout for maximum exposure
