Why empty back field?

At the 5 backed up to your goal your back pedaling into your end zone with no blocking help .

Kellen and dak are better now , but they still do some stupid stuff.
Better to run the ball once or twice,to get some room.
A holding call with dak in EZ is a safety.

That ticked me off too, but in fairness, I saw Dak audible into that several times. Inside the five the OC should call stick. That means, stick to the play and no audible. Zeke is the best pass blocking back in the NFL and could have prevented some of that pressure

Maybe, just maybe.....KMoore should be in the press box calling the plays, and to see better. Just sayin'. He ain't the HC......yet.

It was a constant theme all night . Heavy rush no help with a RB to chip block .

On that particular play a RB would have had to "chip" 2 or 3 guys. Just sayin.

I wanted a running play as well not a big fan empty backfired from your end zone

I think the problem is Williams and Biadasz have to do a better job of holding up the DTs. I am all in favor of giving the young guys like Biadasz a shot but he is simply not strong enough to hold up against the bigger stronger DTs in the league. This is a problem that will get worse because teams will watch tape of the first 3 games and do exactly the same thing. Williams and Biadasz are both weak against bull rushes. Williams was on his back more times last night than a cheap hooker.

Cool.....but there's enough technology that can allow that. If it were a Rookie QB, I say yes with the hands on/touchy feely approach......Dak's a veteran, and he's the one that OC needs to be eye-to-eye with.

Kellen does that , he did that a lot more under Garrett . MM must be pumping KM's brakes.

Yet people want to kick MM to the curb and promote Kellen to HC.

Biadaz was getting pushed back so often Dak could have given him the ball on a read option ….seeing the Eagles dominate that point of attack and Connor Williams having his own issues was surprised how many empty backfield sets Kellen went with. Was concerned about Dak making it to the conclusion .

And at our 5 no less , gifted the Eagles a cheap 6. Kellen if I had a complaint gets too cute with some of the play calling .

Usually on empty backfield sets, its because your QB is letting it go right away. Three steps and the ball is out. i guess Dak held onto it too long and the pressure got there. But i agree, not a great play to call from your end zone.

Your talking about a young guy that has a fast metabolism. They need to settle in. Not all are freaks like Fredbeard or Tyron.

This was one of my only two complaints yesterday with the coaching. The second they went empty backfield I said "safety"... I mean I was wrong.... I guess.
