Why I think it's over for Garrett/ Why he looked that way on the sidelines during the 49ers game

Today, for the first time, he stopped his smiling clap on the sideline. I believe he was the greatest sideline clapper ever to live, but he looked like he was about to cry today.

Hopefully, the locker room gives him a slow clap when he resigns.

Geat post.

JG's legacy will be that he took a franchise QB and turned him into a pass happy turnover machine.

All because he let Romo audible at will into countless picks against stiff competition...

No I still saw him clapping even down 28-3 today.

But did anyone notice him almost crying before halftime?

We have the worst head coach in the NFL. Well maybe tied with Jay Gruden in Washington. Tweedle dee and tweedle dum.

He looked really out of sorts and not even aware of what was going on. They must have pulled the plug on his headset after the 1st half.

Coordinates mayyyyyyybe.

What if Harbaugh managed to put a clapper on the earpiece in Tony's helmet? And it was Garrett throwing Tony off all day yesterday turning the audio on and off every other series? I think we're onto something big in this thread. Just a hunch.

Jay Gruden has been there 1 game...I think the similarity may be in the organizational style

He won't get an OC gig in the NFL either. Maybe QB coach if he wanted to stay in the NFL.

But, he may get a job coaching a college team like Delaware........and even them I'm not so certain.

I'd bet he lands an OC job quickly. And I think he'd get consideration for another HC job down the road, too. But then, I don't think he's necessarily done in Dallas yet, either.

Kubiak got a job pretty quickly. But then again he had that whole Denver success thing going on at one time.

You are the master of not taking any position what so ever.

Red won't sniff an another HC job ever again and I doubt any other HC is going to want him. He's not been the kindest friend to his former HC Wade nor has he taken care of his other Coordinators. The coaching realm is SMALL and they all know who sold who out.

I take positions just fine. I don't have a working crystal ball.

I think Jason's a really good coach. I think he'd have a coordinator job immediately, and I think he's got a huge stable of people in and around the league who think highly of him so the curse of Wade Phillips I'm pretty comfortable dismissing out of hand. But because I think there's a better than 50% chance he's extended in Dallas, my expectation is that most of that is moot.

He may very well get a HC job down the road with more experience. But there's nothing in overall body of work that warrants him getting another HC job. Matter of fact, he's been a pretty poor game day HC.

He'd need to prove himself, for sure. And he does have game day issues. But he's also the kind of guy who's going to interview well, and Jerry Jones is a built in excuse for a lot of people...
